The Rebel was up earlier then the Prince this morning. Something that they got use to sneaking around all the time. Needed to be a light sleeper to not get caught by who ever was coming into the room. Plus the need to get back to their own home in decent time was necessary to not make their action suspicious. This time they were able to just stay and not have to worry. They curled around their sleeping boyfriend more. They thought about how it would be once they did get married. They would have to tell their mother before the coronation.
There was certain expectations given to the crowns. The Rebel did knew the Prince would take the kings crown. They wondered if a more neutral option could be forged if the kingdom didn't already have one. The queens crown was silver with a lot of hanging jewels. It would take more then a few hair pins to make sure it didn't come off when they were working around the kingdom. It would probably be more of a piece of jewelry when they had to make a formal appearance.
That would be in a couple of days at least. It was going to take a long time to get the kingdom all rebuilt and such. They were really glad for getting people out with seeing that aftermath of all the fighting. Thankfully there was few casualties on both sides. The Prince took the brunt of the emotional damage as the guards were detached from their families.
There was very few Rebel deaths as they were the ones to attack by serprise.
The Prince would problems on the inside, and they would work on fixing the ones on the outside. This attack could have been prevented if the royals paid a little more attention to anyone but themselves. The Rebel took in a deep breath of the Prince thankful that they were together officially now. They were sure nothing was going to change in the relationship or the way they acted around each other. There was just something different with a label being added. Something that just felt so right.
The room was covered with a blue shade because of the sheer blue fabric that hung around the balcony opening. It was drawn to keep out most of the cold breeze. As they lay in bed they could hear the castle waking up around them. Every once and a while someone would pass by the room. That was when they decided to go find some breakfast for the couple. Something nice to start the day with.
"You're up early." Their mother said as they entered the dinning room. There was lots of food that had been picked at with a small space at the end of the table where the Rebel Leader was sitting down to eat.
"I usually am when I stay with him." The Rebel didn't think of hiding the relationship since they were now staying in the same room together. Especially if they were to take the throne as consort.
"And how long has that been going on?" She asked picking up another fork full of food.
"Depends what you mean by this?" The Rebel took a few pieces of fruit in a bowl and then some of the sweet cakes.
"This infiltration of the royal family. I remember when you brought up that you had a contact in the castle. I thought you were screwing around with one of the lieutenants of the royal guard or a personal servant to the royals. I would have been more careful if I knew it was a member of the family itself."
"What does that mean, to be more careful? And we haven't been screwing around for your information. He's a good guy that's just trying to do the same thing we are." Their mother hummed something that could have been heard as a disagreement.
"Just keep your thoughts your own." She said. The Rebel rolled their eyes as they took their catch of the morning to their love. It was clear that their mother held her exile against the whole royal family rather than just the ones that called for it. She was convinced that not one of them was able to feel anything for other people.
They were just stuck up in their tall towers not worrying about their responsibilities to the people. Yes that last part was true but their weren't totally unfeeling. The way the Prince spoke about his younger older sisters they were sure their was still good in the older ones. The Prince was going to have to be their example of that.
She was also convinced that their was no way people could actually follow the royals. That they had some form of mind control. That couldn't have been more true when dealing with the Prince . Otherwise they would never have left that room when they first started staying together.

"Why not?" The Rebel asked standing out on the balcony.
"Why not!?" The Prince repeated practically yelling before remember that they should not be talking to anyone.
"If someone finds anyone, much less a boy, in my room then we could be a lot bigger trouble then both of us want. As much as we both aren't going to do anything my parents will find any way possible to throw me out of the castle or have the both us killed." The Prince walked further into the room away from the rebel.
"Then we won't get caught. I can leave right at dawn. They won't even know I'm here. Please?" The Rebel asked. They were tired of worrying about the Prince at night. There was so much that could happen to him. Not only from himself that they have delt with but his crazy family outside the door. The Rebel shuddered to think of what his mother could do if she got something in her head.
It scared them to the point of nightmares. The Prince looked back and forth from the door to the Rebel battling himself of the issue. The Rebel took a couple steps back that they could hoping that would help the indecision. The Rebel could see a flash of panic in the Prince s eyes before he stopped and closed them.
"Fine, alright. But dawn at the latest, preferable at first light." The Rebel smiled and walked into the room.
"Thank you Rigel." They said. The Prince rolled his eyes climbing into bed.
"Just please don't risk more than you have to."
"Of course not. I can't imagine you being able to function with out me at this point." The Rebel smirked knowing the Prince was turning red.
"I wouldn't know what to do with myself." The Prince shot back from the bed as the Rebel changed clothes.
"I'm sure you could find something to do star-boy." The Rebel teased climbing in beside the Prince .

They carefully opened the door to find the Prince rousing from his sleep. There was a big stretch before patting the bed beside him. After a couple of seconds the royal turned over and sat up a little. The Rebel quietly approached the bed. It was when the Prince did a quick look around the room that he finally found the other.
"Sorry for the scare star, had to go get breakfast. They held up the bowl and plate full of questionable nutrients.
"And where did you find all this?" The Prince giggled as he was handed the plate always being partial to the sweet things in life.
"Their was a spread out in the dinning room for anyone to pass by and take. My mother told me to make sure not to get brain controlled by you." The Prince roller his eyes at the comment as his mouth was full of the cake.
"I can't wait to tell her that you will be taking the leading role in the kingdom. That's going to be a fun conversation." The Rebel started stealing some of their boyfriends breakfast needing something before spending the first day working on the houses.
"Let's just hope we have things together when our allies come." The Prince said in between bites.
"What do you mean by that?" The Rebel asked very confused and very worried.
"I mean their was a messenger sent out to our allies that were calling them to the kingdom for a little weekend. We do it every year, they come to talk about the losses through the winter and a little party to make the trip worth it for the families. Oh, we should do the wedding and coronation then. Since they will all be there it would save on time."
The Prince perked up at the prospect of their wedding happening in only a weeks time. "And what happens when they find out the royal family is dead?"
"One, there is a couple kings that know of my existence as they were at the public introduction. They will know that the royal family is carrying along. Actually my continued existence works in our favor as it won't be a total take over. Still the method of their removal could spark some our rage amount they other royals." He took a bite as the Rebel started thinking about a war that could break out through out the land because of this.
"But no one liked my family. Pretty sure this will be a celebration of their death."
"I'm confused, should we be preparing for war next week or a royal wedding?" The Rebel asked in a lot higher voice then they would admit to anyone outside that room. The Prince giggled at the outburst.
"A wedding dear, we will be fine if we handle it properly. If anything it will just turn the banquet hall into a battlefield. That is something we can handle easy. We are both able to end a fight effectively."
"If you say so love." The Rebel muttered finishing up their fruit.
"I do in fact." The Prince finished up his own breakfast.
"Now we should get dressed and started with our respective jobs for the day. I will see you tonight right?"
"If a beam doesn't land on top of me." The Rebel joked taking some of their newly relocated clothing.
"Please don't joke about that dear. I would hate for anything to happen to you at all."
"I know. I will be very careful." The Rebel quickly got ready and left with a quick goodbye as the Prince got dressed for the day. The Rebel always had an idea of a wedding between them and the Prince since they met. Now they were just going to have to see how much that matched up with what the Prince thought. Maybe the short dead line would work in their favor for a perfect day.
