Thankfully with the past few days they were able to sleep in a bit. It was still the break of dawn that they had to get up. The princes heart was pounding as he moved from his own room to the room that was set aside to get his suit put together. The morning would be spent doing the final fittings and alterations.

The Prince walked into the large spacious room. It was glowing in the low morning light that was finally coming through the windows. He started by putting on his suit. It was the first time that his clothes fit his body and still give the figure that he was looking for. The tailor made a special piece of under clothing for this occasion.

It worked so much better then any other method he had tried before. It was almost like relief looking in the mirror of the room. It would take a bit to get use to but under the rest of the suit you wouldn’t even know it was there. It looked very similar to a corset minus the bone structure. The suit was mostly a cream colour.

The shirt is cream with the sleaves frilling out around his hands. The rest of the shirt was fitted to his torso and arms, it was a bit of a hazard to pull over his head. The pants fitting similarly to the shirt with the same colour. The piece that pulled it all together is the coat. It only stopped at the top of his thighs looking nothing like the coat that the Rebel can be seen wearing.

It is also mostly cream with two small pockets on the front on each side. It is made to stay open with royal blue trim going around the outside of the coat. The blue vibrant with the cream in the light makes it looks like he’s glowing. The Prince turned around taking in the new outfit from every angle. He was going to need to redo his whole wardrobe after putting this suit on.

Since that was the first day putting the under chest piece on, there was one small adjustment that needed to be done. This kept him in the room till the start of the ceremony to make sure it all got done nicely. The Prince wanted to do a quick walk through to make sure everything was in place.

This was unable to happen as he was expected a certain amount of time before the Rebel walked in. He really hoped that the candle made it to the throne room. His heart was racing hoping that everything was in place before they all started. part of this time was also taken up by covering his face naturally. He needed to calm down quite a bit before he walked in the room.

He took stock of everything as he walked down the isle to get to the front. The soft music that was playing didn’t change and everyone kept talking. The crowns were sitting on either side of the officiant. The couple was to get married first then coronated. The thrones were covered with a sheet.

The arch he was currently standing in front of would be moved and they would walk up there to be crowned and seated. The candle was also sitting in the holder no to far. It is tall and blue, hopefully the colour of the flame would be what he imagines. The music changed turning into the wedding song. This is what pulled everyone attentions away from their conversation.

The Prince stood up a little straighter his heat beating faster. It was finally time to start. The Prince watched everyone stand up at the Rebel walking into the room. Their outfit looking like a mix of a dress and a suit. A very dressed up version of their every day clothes. They walked down the aisle maintaining eye contact with the Prince.

In no time the room melted away and it was just them standing face to face. He looking down into their eyes catching more gold around their irises then they had seen before. The light of the afternoon making the gold take up a good half. He could look for hours just studying the Rebel. That was till the officiant called their attentions to him.

“We are here today to witness young love coming out of it’s cocoon. Soon we hope it will sore into the future leading us in peace and justice.” From what the Prince read this was nothing like what would be said at a normal wedding. Then again the couple never did anything normal. The speeches made would be just as special.

“Do we have any vows from the couple?” For once the Prince was at a loss for words, he would still try his best.

“You were the first to see me as I am with out reservation. You gave me my name and my freedom. I own everything to you and I plan to spend the rest of my life making it up to you.” He had to stop before he burst out in tears and hugged the rebel.

It would not be a good show for something like this. He looked back at everything the Rebel did for them at he really did have the rest of his life to make them even. Even towards the end of their conflict they saved his life at great expense to them.

“Now we will move to the tying of the knot.” The officiant pulled out a long red and blue woven piece of cloth. The Rebel and Prince moved to hold hands. The Rebel’s being slightly bigger then the Prince’s. The officiant tied the ribbon around their hands.

“With this cloth I bind the two in love from now till the end of their days.” Then the knot was tied at the bottom the candle was pulled over and lit. The flame was exactly what the Prince wanted. The flame was warm against his hands as the knot was melted together.

“I now pronounce you wedded in the eyes of both the law and the people. You may kiss.” The kiss was short but brilliant with the arch being pulled to one side as they did it. They pulled one hand out walking up to the thrones still bonded. They then stood in front of the thrones with their respective crowns sitting beside. The first would be the prince. The officiant pulled out the scepter.

“In the name of the safety and good will of the people of the land you have been nominated to take the royal throne. Do you understand?”

“I wish to serve the people of all their needs, I wish to create prosperity and good fortune for all my days.” The Prince recited the words that he had been coached through. It was the same words the would be said till the end of time. It was how they were being said that gave the ruler their first impression to the witnesses.

“Then kneel an receive your final title.” The Prince got down to one knee feeling the scepter move from one shoulder to the other as the officiant said.

“By the will of the people I pronounce you the 15th generation to take the throne. King Rigel.” There was someone standing beside the officiant that gave him the crown. The one that he had the goal to redeem the meaning of. The helped moved away as the crown was placed on the new kings head. He rose and moved to take his throne the room erupting in applause.

Next was the rebels turn with the person who took his crown from it’s box also taking the ribbon. That was put on the pillow where the kings crown sat previously. She quickly moved to take the consorts crown from it’s own box. As the Prince watched this he also saw the Rebel come forward to face the officiant. They had this determination in their eye that made the Prince King fall in love with them again.

“You have be nominated to stand by the kings side through all the good and bad. You will serve as his second in commend as consort of the realm. Do you accept this responsibility?”

“Through war and famine, through peace and prosperity, I will stand both day and night.” The Rebel responded before they knelt receiving their title.

“By the will of the people I now name you the consort of the land.” The crown placed on their head was somewhere in the middle of the king and queens and more simple. They walked up and sat down in the other throne. As soon as they did there was another echo of applause.

“I now would like to introduce the new king and his consort.” The said couple stood up and walked out of the room as music swelled to the fill the room. The Prince could only feel pride as they walked down the hall to their first dance. After a couple more hours they would be able to just be them. Adjust to whoever these new titles would make them.

It was time for them to grow up finally. Dinner was amazing and exactly what the Prince imagined the kitchen would make. Making a better day only that much more perfect. They walked into the dance hall. The first thing the Prince noticed was the ball of black cloth that was hanging from the roof. “Dear, what is that?” The Prince leaned over to ask in a hushed tone.

“That is my candle.” The Rebel said cheekily as they led the Prince to the middle of the dance floor. The rest of the guests moved to the outside as the musicians took their place. The Prince and Rebel stood in the middle of the floor with the Prince taking the leading position for the dance.

All the candle systematically went out around the room till there was just a faint glow from the top of the room. The black cover was pulled away landing in a clear part of the room by the cake. Light was thrown all over the room, it was darker then all the candles but still enough light to see.

The musicians started playing; the couple started dancing. They floated like they were on water moving as one with the music. There was no concentration on how they were moving as the Prince was totally focused on the Rebel. The song ended and the couple moved off the to the cake. The rest of the candles were restored as every other couple entered the floor.

The music started again quickly filling the room. The Prince and Rebel stayed around collecting congratulations for the wedding. There was also some wishes for a prosperous reign. Both were very welcome. The Prince stopped the tailor before he left to get a couple more of under garments for his chest ordered.

“Of course my lord. I’m sure we can come up with something that you can wear for longer periods of time without causing harm.” He confirmed a time for the day after the next for an appointment. After the Prince and Rebel finished with the guests they moved to their room. They didn’t have to leave for the next full day. Finally they could take a day to relax before getting on with their new life. The Prince couldn’t ask for more.
