Athena POV


I woke up the next morning I found myself in an unfamiliar place and it was about 9:30 a.m. when I looked at the clock. I decided to get in the shower and have breakfast sent to our room; I at least knew that would help clear my head. After a rough night because of Thorn, I slept rough, and I knew it. I could feel every ache and pain in my body so I felt I needed a shower to scrub the night away would be good. I hopped in the shower and began to absorb the scolding water as I sang. As far as I knew no one heard me, but even if he did, I didn't care.


Just as I was stepping out of the shower, I could hear soon Adam moving around in the room. I dried off and made my way to the bedroom. Just as I was getting ready to make my way to the closet, I was surprised to see Adam still in our room getting ready, I thought he had already left. He had put his pants on but didn't have them buttoned up yet, and his t-shirt lay crumpled up on the bed. When he turned around and saw me in nothing but a towel, I just smiled at him, but he looked away. "Oh, I am so sorry Athena... um your clothes I set them out for you on the bed.


I hope you like what I set out for you." Alpha Adam said as he covered his face. That kind of hurt me and made my wolf upset. I looked down at the ground a bit sad. I didn't know if it was because we were not mated and marked yet or not, but I didn't want to wait to find out. Still in a towel I walked up to him and hugged him around the waist. I wanted him to feel comfortable with me. He just stood there, and I was unsure how to feel.


I was starting to feel her even more so than I usually felt her. After I had gotten dressed, he said he had something to tell me. "Athena, sit down please, I have to tell you I had a dream last night and I met your mother Mysteria. She is a Moon Goddess. She is how come you have a lot of the powers that you have. She told me to keep you safe because if the wrong person gets a hold of you, they will have an unspeakable amount of powers when they mate and mark you. I have a meeting in about 20 minutes in my office so we can tighten up security and keep you safer, I would like you to come with me." said Adam.


I decided to follow him to the office still not wanting to be alone anyways. With Thorn being on the loose, Adam made me feel safer, and that’s the way I honestly wanted it too. He said he had some surprises for me to see when we got back and pointed to our closet to let me know where the surprises were hidden. I wanted to be around him, but I was super surprised when I walked into the office with Adam and saw my dad sitting on the couch in his office. I looked up at him with worry in my eyes, hoping that Thorn was not going to try and hurt my father in hopes of getting me. I looked at Adam as I mouthed thank you to him while I hugged my father for allowing him to stay with us for a little bit.


Once Adams Beta and Gamma joined us, we sat down to figure out security measures, and of course when I tried to sit on the couch next to my father, Adam pulled me to sit on his lap instead. He was still quite a bit taller than me even sitting down, and when he looked down at me and gently brushed his hand across my shoulder, he sent electricity through my body. Once we had everything finished, he dismissed everyone to get work started on everything. My father knew we needed to talk alone so he of course shut the door as he left for Adam and I to talk. He softly cradled my face in his hand. "Honey, I know this is all new for both of us, but I made a promise to love you and stand by you.


I want you to be happy and I feel and see you're not happy. I wasn't trying to hurt you when I looked away with you in the towel earlier. I just wanted to be polite and give you privacy to get around and ready, I also wanted you to be comfortable with us as a couple, because I felt it was not polite to see you before we were married and mated. I want you to feel comfortable." replied Adam. Adam, you became Alpha of this pack so suddenly and I lost my pack suddenly. I am not going anywhere. I would die first before leaving you.


That is my promise. You can look at me. I am your mate, your Luna, your soon to be wife. I want us to have Children, and to have fun, to be comfortable with each other. With all the passion in the world all I felt was his lips crash against mine hard. His kiss sent a passionate wave of energy through my body, I felt like I was on fire as he tenderly yet passionately kissed me and nipped a little on my neck.


It took everything not to melt or moan in pleasure. Once He hit my caller bone I couldn't help but moan as he kissed me and nipped at me. Before we got carried away, we decided to head back to the house. Dad had moved into the main pack house room because he wanted some alone time to get used to not having me around as often. When we got back to the house, I felt like I needed a bubble bath. I just felt so tense, and the earlier session at the office did not help.

I didn’t know why, but I felt like someone was watching me even though the windows were a frosty white and I requested a curtain be hung up in front of it. What is funny is the curtain is not see through so even if some one wanted to look through, they couldn’t unless they had the ability to see heat signatures.

I jumped out of the bath wrapping myself in a towel, and just as I was entering the bedroom to get my pajamas, I heard a multiple growls. All I could do was scream as the creature outside with bright red eyes looked at me through the window. Suddenly I heard what sounded like two dogs fighting and instantly felt the need to find Adam. Still in the towel I ran outside to see my father's wolf fighting this thin raggedy looking wolf and Adams wolf standing on standby and his Gamma and Beta watching them in human form. I could see I was in danger, and I had to leave.

I felt like it was a good Idea to leave and let thorn take me at this point. I ran back inside grabbing my clothes putting them on and I began to pack my bag. I didn’t know what else to do. All I could do was think about keeping everyone safe and that I was not worth all of this. Adam came into the bedroom to see me packing my bags. “Are you ok, I saw you come out. He is a rogue who was forced to spy on us for Thorn so he could find a way to steal you.” said Adam.


I don’t want to leave but this is the only way to keep you guys safe, especially my dad. He stood there holding me telling me that nothing was going to happen and that I should get some rest. It had been a long day, and he increased security again, because my dad was the one who was on patrol when he caught that rogue. Where one was there was bound to be more. We laid in bed, and I felt like I was standing up on my tip toes to put my arms around him for more passionate kisses he pulled away. Both of us breathless, still in a towel naked as ever.


He had an expression I did not like. I was worried, because Adam seemed to have a calm demeanor despite everything that had happened. After a few moments he pulled me close and gave me another kiss. We were lying in bed when "Honey I am sorry to do this to you right now, but I have to go. An important matter has come up. I have to go deal with it now. You are not officially my Luna yet until we mate and mark each other, so it's ok to stay here in the room, or go to your dad's room over at the main pack house he is three doors down on the second floor to the left when you first walk up the steps..


I don't want you to be alone at all." Adam said. I couldn't help but question. What's going on? Did I do something wrong? I kind of felt like I was a bad mate, what did I do? Tears began pouring down my face as I asked all these questions to myself. I couldn't live with myself if I was a bad mate. He walked back over to the bed seeing everything swirling in my mind and pulled me out of the bed in for a warm embrace. Kissed me on the head, and looked at me with love, compassion, and furry in his eyes. "Athena please listen to me. I love you, and you have done nothing wrong.


We had a visit from Thorn very early yesterday morning and he is here now again and then just before he showed up, we had that rogue we found too. He is planning to take you away from me. I have not mated and marked you yet because I'm worried it could kill our wolves if he takes you. I want to take our time, and I want you to be comfortable here before you and I decide anything together. I love you and when Thorn came back again, I just knew he was not going to let you go any time soon. I am going to deal with him now.


I want you to stay here, but at the same time I want you to go to the pack house to be with your dad. I had someone take his shift so he could be with you. My Beta and my Gamma will be here soon. I love you; I don't want you to be hurt, but you can stay here with them, or you can go hang out with your dad." Adam said as he sighed. He hugged me one last time and I heard him whisper" go look in our closet I have a surprise in there for you. "he whispered. As soon as he let go of me, I bounced off of the bed and ran to the closet with a smile...I saw my dresser there. Just as I was about to ask him how my dresser that once was my mothers was brought here, when I heard the door shut. I decided to get dressed and explore the closet.

He had organized all my stuff and did it right. There was no way he could have known unless he could feel how I am through our mate bond. I sat on the edge of our bed brushing my hair and then braiding it when I suddenly got a feeling something was off. I had no idea what, but I was about to find out. I opened the bedroom door and saw Adams Beta outside. He bowed down," what may I help you with Mrs. Athena?"


I'm not sure. I just need to see Adam. and know he is ok. Something feels off and I am not sure what. I also would like to see my father if we can, but something does not feel right. Suddenly I felt blood running down my arm. Everything started to get blurry, and I felt woozy. Before I knew it, I was engulfed in darkness. Surrounded by a strong pair of arms followed by a shout from someone saying get the doctor now!
