Alpha Ron POV


I loved my wife and my daughter. For safety reasons I wasn't allowed to tell her who she was related to at the request of her mother. Mysteria was the daughter of the Lycan King and she did not want our kids to know until they were a certain age. With this war coming I knew I must tell her now. Athena was a descendant because of her mother. She is and always has been royalty and no one knew because they would kill her over it.


I feel maybe I should tell my daughter's mate, but then she would be mad because I told him first. So I decided to tell them both at the same time so he could protect her better. I have not spoken to Athena's grandfather since the death of Mysteria. It was Athena's mother's wish that she did not know till she was old enough to protect herself. It's time to tell her and her mate, I hate having to do this now and I have no idea how mad she will be, but I guess it's better now rather than never. I took Athena, Adam, and the baby to the house where we once lived, and I dug for those letters in the desk where I had it hidden in a secret room, and their was over a dozen that I had wrapped in rubber bands separating them for each person they belonged to.


There were several of them and they were from her mother for each of us to read at certain times. So, I gathered all the letters and made sure they were all sorted out still. There were 5 or 6 for Athena, 2 for me, and 1 for her husband/mate. I rubber banned each to keep them from getting mixed up again. We went back to Athena and Adams house on the way back I decided to mind linked Adam and tell him I had something important to talk to him and Athena about together and it had something to do with the letter we were going to read. I had them sit down on the couch in the living room and I took Lyra from her and held her while I cooed with her.


"Daddy what's going on, you wanted to talk to both of us and said it was urgent but didn't say much more than that?" asked Athena gently. Athena Honey, I love you guys very much, and I don't want you mad at me because I just followed instructions. It was your mothers wish that you didn't know till you were a certain age. That age came and I felt that these letters may explain what was happening. Please do not be mad at me or your mother as we both only wanted to protect you and keep you safe. Athena Pick up your letter about when you turn 18 and read it out loud. We watched as she opened the letter and began to read aloud with tears in her eyes.


Dear Athena,


I know life will never be easy for you from the day I died till you get older and I wanted you to know I tried to be strong to stay for you and see you every day so I could help you and your father over come every challenge. I wanted to be there for all the heart break, all the little moments, and important moments such as meeting your mate, Adam. Yes, you read this right. I already know who your mate will be and that you will become the Luna his pack needs. I love you so much and I wish I could be there to see how grown up you have become. I love you and your father so please stay close and near each other for you will have many battles to overcome. Between your mate and father you will survive.


They both will protect you with all their life until they are dead. Be prepared, once you get your full wolf you and your mate will gain an incredible power only after you mate. She will come fully to you and you will be able to fully shift on your own with the first full moon next month. Take the time to shift as a full Rainbow Luna Wolf, and make sure when you do, that you have Adam or your father go with you to help keep you safe. They know how to fight and you do not yet. Stay strong and stay yourself no matter what the universe sends your way. I love you and your father very much.

I watched as her hands shook, and she began to cry. I knew this would be hard for her and I hated having to put it all on her at once. The tears ran down her face and she knew there were many more to read, but she needed some time to collect what she just read aloud between just us three. She walked out of the living room straight into the kitchen grabbing some water from the fridge. I walked in there and put my hand on her shoulder while still holding Lyra. Honey, I know this is not ideal for you, but I was instructed to give this to you on your 18th birthday and I failed at giving these to you when the time came, but I had forgotten with so much going on.


I am so sorry honey and I know you will need time, but I need you to be strong for Adam, Lyra, and myself. We all love you and your mother sacrificed her life so you could live. There is something she told me that may help for your future. She wrote it in one of the letters and I am not sure which. She requested that she be the one to tell you even if it meant writing it down and telling you even if she had passed on. I left the kitchen still holding Lyra, as her big blue eyes looked at me and held my heart, for she was so tiny, had so many gifts, that she was not even aware of yet.


I went to lay her down in her bassinet in the living room and she lay there and dozing off. It was getting late, but I didn't know if this was something we should pick up tomorrow. Some of the pack members were doing increased boarded patrol in groups of three. We had pack members surrounding the house guarding us and I knew it was going to be a long night. I decided to make some coffee just the way Athena had done for me on nights when I really needed it. She had been my rock for 18 years, my light at the end of the tunnel.


I pushed past all pain and sorrow for her and would gladly die doing everything I could to keep her and Lyra safe. All three of us made our coffee the way we liked it and there was a letter that was written for Athena for when she found her mate/ got married. She sat holding it debating on opening it and I couldn't make her, but it would help us prepare for this war. When she went to open it she knew something was wrong. "Daddy who else had access to these letters other than you? This envelope is not sealed all the way anymore like the other ones are. It's lined with silver and the moment I open it, it could harm us all." Athena said as her hands were shaking.


I took the letter and saw what she was saying about it not being closed all the way and being lined with silver. Thankfully I had some gloves that a nurse gave me. I put the gloves on and took it to the kitchen trash can shaking all of the silver I could out as slowly as I could and took it out of the envelope as carefully as possible so the silver would not come out everywhere else. After about 15 minutes of silver removal, it was all gone and Athena was able to read the letter clearly and safely, so I passed it back to Athena.


Dear Athena,


It's mummy again. I hope you can forgive me for not being here during this time of special moments. I have seen that you and Adam will be mated, and I am so proud of you and how far you have come. Please stay safe as about this time you will learn that you have many gifts, but one main one will make you a target with all kinds of the Supernatural world species. Your bond with your mate will be incredibly deep and once mated it will be even deeper than imagined. l love you and Adam with all my might.


I am so sorry about your loss but remember you will have so much more to gain, and Lyra is beautiful just like you. She is with a pack who will not back down from their alpha and will respect him and his Luna. There are several things however that you need to know. The first one is that you are of Royal blood and when you and Adam mate, he will be of royal blood too. Adam will protect you, Lyra, and any other children you have because they will be your greatest treasure. Athena you will eventually meet your grandfather who is the Lycan King. I am an only child, and I had a twin sister who passed away moments after birth just like Lyra's twin brother.


I know life is hard, but you are royalty. When I die, I become the next moon goddess. You will see me when I come to you in your sleep or when you have visions. Now you know just how important you and Lyra are right now. Please forgive your father for not telling you this, but I asked him to not tell you. I wrote these letters In case I didn't make it to see you grow up. I wanted to tell you myself and now it's time for Adam to open his letter and read it out loud.

Athena POV


After all this it was 1 almost 2 am and I needed another break. Lyra needed fed and a diaper change, so I got up and changed her diaper. However, when it came to feeding Lyra, I went to our bedroom to feed her, as I didn't think my father would want to see me breast feed her. A knock came on the door. Who is it I called. "It's just me dad, baby, can I come in." asked Alpha Ron.


I covered up with a small blanket quickly before I opened the door. My dad's whole face turned bright red. "Um I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were still feeding her. I will just wait for you to finish." Said my dad as he stared at the ceiling. Daddy, I am covered up, you're fine. Please look at me and I know you wanted to tell me all of what mom told me in the letters, but mom asked you not to. I am not mad at you; I love you no matter what.


I had finally finished feeding her and my dad took Lyra to burp her so I could use the bathroom. We just got back to the living room when we heard a knock on the front door. Mom had put a picture of grandpa in the envelope and so I opened the door and jumped in his arms and shouted GRANDPA!! I immediately recognized him and I couldn't believe this was the first time I got to meet him in my entire life. Adam stood up and put his hand out to shake his hand as grandpa carried me in while I still hugged him. I was tiny for being a descendant of a Lycan wolf.


It looked like grandpa brought quite a few of his pack members with him. I decided to take Lyra to her bedroom and go to bed myself, it was a long day and none of us had been to bed yet. Even though I was excited to see him I was so exhausted and felt weak. I did not realized how weak I was until Grandpa caught me. Adam took Lyra to her room, and then came back to get me. When Adam picked me up to carry me back to our room all I remember is whispering see you In the morning Grandpa. Tomorrow will be our NEW DAY.
