As soon as Ye Chen finished speaking, Hong Wu stormed in with A Biao and dozens of his men.
The moment he entered, he ordered, “Seal off the door! No unauthorized people are allowed inside!”
A Biao nodded immediately. “Got it, Master Wu!”
Seventh Brother stood there, dumbfounded, his brain completely short-circuited.
Hong Wu?!
The underground emperor of Jinling!
Seventh Brother was just a small-time thug in the city, but Hong Wu was the undisputed king of the underworld here!
Every gang, every street boss had to bow down to Hong Wu!
Never in his wildest dreams did he imagine that coming to help Zhao Dong teach someone a lesson would end up attracting Hong Wu himself!
Zhao Dong, however, didn’t recognize Hong Wu. Seeing Seventh Brother frozen in place, he frowned and asked, “Seventh Brother, what’s going on? Who’s this old man?”
The moment those words left his mouth, Seventh Brother trembled in fear.
He grabbed Zhao Dong by the hair and slammed a fist into his face, breaking his nose instantly. Blood gushed from Zhao Dong’s nostrils as he screamed in agony.
Seventh Brother cursed, “You idiot! Do you have a death wish?! This is Hong Wu!”
“What?!” Zhao Dong nearly pissed himself.
Hong Wu?!
The underground emperor of Jinling?!
Why was he here?!
At that moment, Hong Wu walked over with a dark expression and kicked Seventh Brother squarely in the groin.
Seventh Brother howled in pain and collapsed onto his knees, his face as pale as a sheet.
Hong Wu stared down at him and said coldly, “You dared to provoke Master Ye? Do you have a death wish?”
Then, he turned to Ye Chen, bowed respectfully, and said with guilt, “Master Ye, I arrived late. Please punish me!”
His deference to Ye Chen stunned everyone in the room.
Zhao Dong finally realized what kind of terrifying person he had provoked. His entire body began to shake uncontrollably.
Ye Chen glanced at Hong Wu, then at Seventh Brother. “Do you know this guy?”
Hong Wu responded immediately, “Yes, he’s a minor thug in the city. I didn’t expect him to be so blind as to offend you. Master Ye, how do you want to deal with him? Just say the word, and I’ll handle it.”
Ye Chen nodded slightly and said, “He’s pretty arrogant. Came in here talking about crippling me. People like him are a menace to society. Break his legs. Make sure he spends the rest of his life in a wheelchair.”
Seventh Brother was utterly terrified.
His whole livelihood depended on his physical abilities. If he became a cripple, he’d be useless! His life would be over!
He immediately crawled on his knees to Ye Chen and sobbed, “Master Ye, I was blind! I didn’t recognize you! Please, spare me! I swear, I’ll never offend you again!”
Ye Chen’s face remained indifferent. “I already gave you a chance. You didn’t take it.”
Seventh Brother suddenly recalled Ye Chen’s words from earlier: “Kneel, and I might spare your life.”
At the time, he thought Ye Chen was bluffing.
Now, he realized—he was the one who had been seeking death!
Desperate, he started slamming his forehead against the ground, crying out, “Master Ye! Please give me one more chance! I beg you, spare me!”
Ye Chen ignored him and looked at Hong Wu. “What are you waiting for?”
Hong Wu immediately turned to his men and barked, “Crush his kneecaps!”
Several men grabbed Seventh Brother and forced him to the ground.
A Biao stepped forward, wielding an iron rod.
Seventh Brother tried to beg, but before he could utter a word, A Biao lifted the iron rod high above his head and brought it down with all his strength.
Crack!
A sickening crunch echoed through the room.
Seventh Brother’s right kneecap was completely shattered.
The kind of pulverized damage that could never be repaired!
Seventh Brother screamed in agony, writhing on the floor.
Ye Chen, however, remained indifferent. “Not enough. He still has one working leg. I want him in a wheelchair for life.”
A Biao nodded and swung the rod down again.
Crack!
Seventh Brother’s left kneecap was destroyed as well.
He convulsed on the ground, on the verge of passing out from the pain.
Hong Wu turned to A Biao and said, “Shove something in his mouth. I don’t want his screams bothering Master Ye.”
“Got it, Master Wu!”
A Biao stuffed some rags into Seventh Brother’s mouth, muffling his cries.
Zhao Dong, now ghostly pale, finally understood how badly he had messed up.
Before Ye Chen could even speak, Zhao Dong dropped to his knees and frantically kowtowed. “Master Ye! I was wrong! I shouldn’t have disrespected you! Please, spare me!”
Liu Lili, seeing this, also hurriedly knelt down and started knocking her head against the floor. “Master Ye, I was wrong! Please forgive me!”
Ye Chen sneered. “You two seriously think begging will save you? You’re beyond naive.”
Both of them trembled in fear.
At that moment, several men in black dragged in two older men, both tied up and badly beaten.
The two were barely conscious, their faces swollen beyond recognition.
The men threw them onto the ground and said respectfully, “Master Ye, we brought the people you asked for.”
Zhao Dong and Liu Lili looked over and nearly fainted from shock.
The two men on the ground were none other than Zhao Dong’s father, Zhao Haifeng, and Liu Lili’s father, Liu Yuesheng!
Ye Chen ordered someone to pour cold water on their faces, waking them up.
Then, he turned to Liu Yuesheng and demanded, “Did you know your daughter is a promiscuous woman who constantly cheated on her fiancé?”
Liu Yuesheng, terrified, shook his head desperately. “I didn’t know! I swear, I didn’t know!”
Ye Chen nodded and said, “Oh? You didn’t know? That means you failed as a father! A Biao, crush his left kneecap—just like we did with that dog earlier!”
“Got it!” A Biao signaled his men. “Hold him down!”
Liu Yuesheng screamed in terror. “No! Please! Mercy!”
Liu Lili also wailed. “Dad!”
A Biao ignored them. As soon as Liu Yuesheng’s leg was pinned, he swung the rod.
Crack!
Liu Yuesheng let out a blood-curdling scream, his knee completely shattered.
Ye Chen then asked again, “I’ll ask one more time. Did you know your daughter was cheating?”
Liu Yuesheng, now sobbing uncontrollably, nodded. “I knew! I knew! It was my fault! I failed as a father!”
Ye Chen sneered. “Since you knew but did nothing, it means your morals are just as rotten as hers.”
He turned to A Biao. “Break the other leg too.”
