Chapter 27

 

　　We were true idiots as we completely forgot to find the tunnel, we just swum up to the surface with no reason at all. Then, we reached to the surface and heard some screaming and people were jumping from the island to the sea. Yes, somewhere wrong with the Middlenet Peninsula.

 

　　We swum fast to the swimming people and noticed there is a shadow monsters slaughtered around the town, they were normal humans but somehow became a true shadow, black in shape. They can travel throughout shadow by shadow. Shayla looked at me and noticed that should be the shadow league.

 

　　We both swum towards the island and Shayla was ready for the spear, I held my tident tight. We looked at each other and seeked any ways we can do but the shadow monsters was hiding. When we climbed up there, a bunch of theives were trying to rob and steal some items or gold. I yelled to them, "Are you all insane? "

 

　　"They are leaving this island, why don't we grab what we need? "One of the thief said and Shayla spitted to him. He was angry and shouted,"Naga! Kill her! "

 

　　"You shall try. "She smiled with confidence and crawled like snake, moved her body to avoid those arrows and weapons. She then easily used the spear to stab all of them, threw them off the sea. I was surprised but noticed someone on my back, I used my trident to fight back, pushed him off the ocean.

 

　　"Not Again! "I said after I pushed someone and threw the trident away to the man who tried to stab Shayla. She thanked me for it and the trident became water, went back to my hands. I was impressed,"That is a nice one. "

 

　　We finished the theives and tried to save the residents, but those shadow in human shape was having weapons like swords and bows, they shot and slayed those unharmed people which had no reason at all.

 

　　"Why do you do all those things? "I asked but none of them answered. But the shadow did not attrack me for somehow and tried to attrack Shayla. However, when she reacted, they jumped into the shadow and hid away.
