Chapter 15

 

　　We ran to City hall and it was shut. I tried to push and Desmond also, the way he pushed made me worried that the door would be opened by violence. Then I took a look for the key hole, when I tried to make another move, there was a shouting from the guards near the City hall library.

 

　　"Stop what you are doing!"One guard used a very angry voice to us and somehow a tall thin man came by and ask them to leave. They called him Sir Hall.

 

　　He looked at us,"I am the mayor of this island, how may I help you? "

 

　　"Awe, we would like to read some books."I said.

 

　　"Sorry, the library and City hall are closed during festival, perhaps, lets enjoy the time being, shall we? "He said and waved an arm to let us see the stage was setting.

 

　　"That could be quite urgent as we are going to leave tomorrow as I am the Returnee, he is from the sea. "

 

　　"I see, from your look. Alright, you can always come back when it is open, but if you try to break the doors or anything, I am sorry that we cannot be in this way. "He then looked around,"Lets find a place to sit, perhaps I can help in other way. "The mayor guided us to a cafe and ordered some drink to us, yes, the coffee, that is the thing Roxetta loved the most and I was quite afraid of that bitter flavor.

 

　　"That is a sweet coffee!? "I never thought I would say that.

 

　　"It is Mocha, chocholate with coffee. I thought that is a common stuff. "He drunk his own Mocha as well, and while we called him Sir Hall, and he insisted to address him as Hex.

 

　　"Alright, Hex, thank you for the drink. But there is something we need to do in quick,I got a spell, dark spell on my body. "I did not know how to show and just show him to wound which was supposed there.

 

　　Desmond claimed,"We would like to find some books with unlocking the black spell. "

 

　　Hex nodded, "I understood your concern, look, I would take a discuss with the librarians and borrow it to you hopefully tomorrow morning before you left. "He looked at us,"Do you guys need anything else? "

 

　　"Do you know anyone with arcane wisdom to see what is going on? "

 

　　"Sorry, I can't be sure, we are not a magic town or lots of wizards. Hmm, mainly we do not have register their magic background. "He saw us with disappointment, and he cheered us up," I think the black spell did not make you so much trouble meanwhile, why don't you all just enjoy the party. "

 

　　After he left, we both thought he made a good point, then we went to join the festival .
