This time as we opened the door of the machine, we were greeted with silence and darkness. Panicking, we rushed to find a light switch. But, as soon as we moved, a light came on. We marveled a bit at this, but then quickly made our way to the door. We rushed out and up the stairs. It was dark this time, so we needed to find a way to figure out the date and time. We hurried to the security desk. There was no one there, but there was a clock. It was digital, but looked nothing like what we had seen in 1974. The date and time shone brightly. We had made it to February 7, 2025 at 7:20PM. It was dusk, but the building was still open, so we walked outside. Students were milling around, many of them cradling a rectangular device and speaking to them. We saw students watching and interacting with these devices. Our clothes and appearance was definitely outdated. We had brought money, quite a bit of it, so the first thing we did was try to find a mall or store.
