Weeks and months started to pass, and pro-Palestine protesters became a target of
oppression. Public outrage kept increasing, with millions now on the streets demanding a
ceasefire in Gaza. Police brutality began to arise, with false instigations of violence started by the NYPD themselves. Innocent protesters were yanked from the sidewalk and tackled on the streets, including minors, elders, and the disabled. The people’s Third Amendment rights were completely stripped away from them!
Those who stood in solidarity with Palestine now faced brutal oppression by the government that swore to protect and serve them, yet no ceasefire on the Gaza Strip! The pro-Palestine movement had to escalate! These escalations included thousands of protesters marching and taking over the Brooklyn Bridge. Rei made sure to grasp onto every bit of hope there was, no matter how small.
