Rei headed to yet another NYC pop-up. They were perfect for content creation and she got free stuff! To be truly honest, she wasn’t secure in her blogging skills, so she rarely finished the blog, phone full of drafts. While waiting in the pop-up line, as she looked at the number of people ahead of her, someone passing by caught her eye. Her eyes filled with curiosity and excitement, a K-pop idol-looking boy passed by. As she shamelessly admired him, he met her eyes for a fraction of a second. Rei immediately looked away. Was it shyness… or the deep-rooted fear of rejection and insecurity that was triggered by mere eye contact? She allowed limerence to pass, knowing she had deep wounds to heal. The line kept moving, and Rei enjoyed the rest of the pop-up experience. As it was finally over, she headed to the usual hangout: Washington Square Park! A public park built on a graveyard… What's more New York than that?
