<h1 class="ql-align-center">Chapter 6</h1>Wheels in Motion&nbsp;&nbsp;It was early morning at Fort Bragg, Colonel Lebker was standing at the corner of an airfield hanger drinking some hot coffee and trying to keep warm and out of the cold wind that was blowing. Out on the runway, the ground crew was guiding one of the new and versatile Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey aircrafts, as it was warming up. The turbo propped Osprey could take off and land like a helicopter and then transform itself in flight into a fixed wing aircraft. As is tradition, Army Special Forces, Colonel Jack A. Lebker and a few of his aides were there to see his troops off. Inside the barracks, Jason was doing a final check on his team, “Okay, let’s get in line, it’s go time!” Jason smiled as he looked at Tex, his face painted brown and green, “damn Tex, you look like a monster!”&nbsp;The room filled with laughter then quieted down as the team formed in line behind Jason. Out onto the tarmac and moving in single file, the Delta team approached the waiting aircraft. Jorge Morales was packing his MK16 assault rifle, Derek, Julius, Andrew and Jason carried the new HK416 assault rifle and Tex carried his SR-25 snipper rifle.&nbsp;All Delta team members carried the standard issue Colt 1911 45 caliber sidearm with custom red-dot sites. In full dress, with the packs on, each man carried about 40-50 pounds of gear into operations.Colonel Lebker smiled and waved at his troops. He felt proud of his men as he took in the site of them boarding the Osprey. As the aircraft lifted off into the predawn skies, he prayed it would be a successful mission.&nbsp;North of Caldwell, Chin and Li are up early and at the edge of the pond. They looked around and down into the clear cold water. Chin put on his gloves and turned to Li as he removed the metal container of reactive agent from his pack, “Now we will see,” he said as he poured the liquid into the edge of the pond.The men stared at the water and waited, but nothing was happening. They waited wondering, and then, “Look, I see it!” Li said pointing at a spot in the water. On the bottom of the pond, small fingers of black were starting to spread along the soil.“Yes it is working, yes!” Chin replied.The two Chinese Operatives watched as streaks of black appeared on the surface of the water and expanded. More and more the pond was slowly turning into Black Water. Within 30 minutes, a dozen or more snapping turtles and frogs made their way on shore and moved away from the pond. The fish started jumping and trying to escape as the reactive agent sucked the Oxygen out of the water. After a few hours, the pond was completely black, with scores of dead fish floating on the surface.Chin ran around and took pictures with his phone, “We must report the success immediately!” Li was not as happy, for him it was sad to see the pond die, to spoil such a beautiful place, but he was eager to be done with it and get back home.The two operatives made the important call, and then they packed up and cleaned up around the camp. In the morning, they were taking the ATV back down the trail. Li was relieved to be away from the Black Water as he got a small fire going to take the bite out of the cold and the men shared some water and a few protein bars. Later that night, Li slipped in his sleeping bag and drifted off thinking of the old hunting cabin and home.&nbsp;In the mountains of New Mexico, at the cleverly camouflaged Cartel base, Armand and his band of Cartel thugs were unloading a big haul of brand new AK-47 assault rifles, bags of Heroin, and cases of rainbow colored Fentanyl pills. The Heroin was almost pure so they setup a table to cut the drug and make their stash of street-Heroin three times the size. Sitting around the large table eating and enjoying some wine was a dozen of the Cartel’s runners. These criminals were waiting to get paid, load up with the goods and like spiders sneak out into the Cartel’s web of distribution throughout America. Eventually, untold counts of young Americans would overdose on the drugs, the weapons would fall into the wrong hands, but the Cartel didn’t care, as always, it was about the money and the power.&nbsp;In China, Doctor Ming was with President Sanshu and his staff. Ming was in a good mood as he handed the new report to the President, “Good news Sir, the testing has been completed.”President Sanshu smiled as he looked over the report, yes this is good news.” Sanshu got out of his chair and moved to a large display of the United States, “and now we can move forward.” He turned to Ming, “do we have sufficient amount of Black Water Agent and our operatives in place?”“Yes Sir,” Ming replied, “I will check again, but last word confirmed everything. I will get you a copy of the latest report.”Sanshu took his seat and turned to his Naval Commander, “I know we have some final details to work out, but I don’t want to wait too long to get this thing underway.”“Yes sir,” the Naval Commander replied, “I believe we will be ready to proceed when you are.”Dinner was ordered in; the top-secret meeting went on for some time. Chinese President Sanshu and his close advisors worked through the last details of the Black Water plan.
