In high school I was involved the first year in drama class and ROTC, and then the next two years with the school newspaper, becoming news editor in my senior year. I'd contribute various articles for the school paper.

The only reason I was in ROTC was because I didn't want to have a physical education class. I didn't want to go through gym class like I did during my middle school years.

In my sophomore year I was in drama class, ROTC, and driver education. Naturally, that's when I got my first behind-the-wheel training. I wasn't used to Mr. Ford, who was not very nice.

In my junior year, I got into journalism class, so I had a chance to write for the high school newspaper, The Morse Code, for Samuel Morse High School. It would also be the last time I would be a part of the drama class, as we performed once during an assembly. However, I got to do impersonations during an after-school assembly.

My senior year of high school was when I became the news editor of the paper. This gave me the chance of learning how to put a newspaper together.

The best part is that we got to see President Jimmy Carter live in person when he appeared in San Diego. We got a picture of him waving at us inside his limousine. Unfortunately, the police didn't allow us to see his speech because our press passes were not valid.

Another great memory was when we got to go to a Journalism workshop in Anaheim. We had a great steak dinner and chocolate mousse dessert, and then we had a live band perform so we can dance to their music. At nearly the end of the year, i would receive an award from the school principal for being very dependable.

High School Graduation was a great moment. The next day my parents had a graduation party for me.
