Queen Byzzy returned to her home galaxy of Estrella to much fanfare.
Even though she was rather hands-off when it came to her ruling methods, she was incredibly popular.
As her luxury ship landed on Paradisus, her planet of origin and residence, she was greeted by her adoring public.
Byzzy waved and smiled as she made her way through the clamoring crowds.
"Your Majesty! Will you kiss my baby?" A woman held her small infant child up in hopes of the Queen bestowing a kiss upon her.
Byzzy blew a kiss and patted the infant on the head as she quickly moved past the mob.
Once she and her security detail had made their way to her transport vehicle, her smile faded.
"What was that? Have you all forgotten how to do your jobs?" She barked at the team.
"Highness, our apologies," the head guard Franciscan began. "The public has been on pins and needles waiting for your arrival, after all, it has been quite some time since you've been home."
"I come home every so often!" She said defensively. "They are not usually this insatiable! Where is my cocktail? I need my cocktail!" Byzzy was frantically looking around.
"A full dinner and reception will be served in your honor, Highness." This was from the other security officer, Fenn. "We felt it best to keep the cocktails out of public view. There has been some talk of your...social habits."
"My SOCIAL HABITS? What does that mean?" Byzzy was turning red with anger.
"You are competing with Queen Anjelica of Æraistrele and well, the Æraistrelens are known for imbibing very little, and when they do, it's usually just one of their floral tonics. It's being said that is far more appealing to those who may be in charge of selecting the Queen of the Universe." Franciscan chimed back in.
"Wait, you don't know yet?" Byzzy was confused as to why her team seemed unaware of what she was going to have to do to earn the title.
"Know what, your Majesty?" Fenn asked.
"They're sending us to this backwoods planet called Earth," she shuddered as she said Earth. "That's how they're going to see who is worthy of the title. Evidently, this planet is a tricky place to navigate."
"Ah yes, Earth," Fenn seemed amused. "I know Earth. I have been there a few times back when I was a soldier."
"So wait," Byzzy was curious by Fenn's laid-back reaction. "It's not so bad there, then?"
"It's...well, it's entertaining, let's put it that way." Fenn was still smiling. "Did they give you an Earth name yet?"
"Yes, it's Rachel. After a character on some popular multimedia entertainment program." Byzzy still seemed unimpressed with her assigned backstory.
"Rachel from Friends?!" Fenn was genuinely interested now.
"Yes!" Byzzy answered. "You know it?"
"Know it? I LOVED it! And um, if I may, Your Highness, it truly fits." Fenn affirmed. "Early Rachel, though. She did change some throughout the show's run."
Byzzy scowled.
"Well, what was your name?" She finally asked.
"Oh, I was Jerry. It was from another popular show at the time called Seinfeld. I didn't really get it, to be honest." Fenn looked perplexed.
"Hmm," Byzzy folded her arms and proceeded to pout the rest of the way home.
Her face changed though when they arrived at her home palace and a familiar face was the first to greet her.
"Aaris!" She squealed with delight as she flung herself into the sizable arms of the God-like Nordic soldier who was said by the many gossip circles to be her lover.
"Hey there, Beautiful!" Aaris scooped her up and spun around until they were both dizzy.
"Highness," Franciscan cleared his throat.
"Yes?" Byzzy stepped away from Aaris' firm embrace. "What is it now, Franciscan?"
"The Æraistrelens aren't big on public displays of affection, either, Madam." He looked around and over his shoulders. "It would behoove you to be on your absolute best behavior from here on out."
"Hmm," this came from Aaris. "I actually prefer bad Byzzy." His crystalline blue eyes twinkled.
"Oh, love. I will show you just how bad I can be, later." Byzzy giggled.
Franciscan cleared his throat again.
"Later," Byzzy said with an air of annoyance. "When NO ONE else is around." She turned to glare at Franciscan before grabbing Aaris by the arm and heading inside her palatial home.
