Synopsis
Frank Foster's life is about as exciting as filling out insurance claim forms – until one fateful camping trip to Happy Rock Park turns his world inside out and upside down. What starts as a simple family getaway with his wife Franchesca and kids Felecia and Felix implodes during a heated s'mores-making competition, sending a frustrated Frank storming into the woods. His destiny? A mysterious mushroom that launches him headfirst into the pulsating heart of consciousness itself.
Armed with nothing but a backpack full of existential questions and a belly full of reality-bending fungi, our mild-mannered insurance adjuster finds himself cartwheeling through the fractal fringes of perception. Reality and hallucination tango on the edge of a quantum knife as Frank pinballs between impossible encounters: a vacationing Bigfoot with a passion for bird-watching, a stranded alien who goes by Ralf (Radical Alien Life Form), a philosophical lizard named Izzy who quotes Nietzsche, a mysterious goat-god cult celebrating eternal spring, a bear professor preaching wilderness safety through interpretive dance, and a disco-dancing, chainsaw-wielding hero called Asher who might just be Frank's own ego in disguise.

About Author
JOE KING
Joe King has been making readers scream with laughter for over two decades through his unique blend of horror and humor. Known as the "Crown Prince of Comedic Horror," Joe masterfully balances spooky thrills with uproarious punchlines in his bestselling books. His gallows humor and witty observations on the absurdity of life enrich his tales of zombies, ghosts, vampires, and other creepy creatures. Though the horrors in Joe's stories are very real, the true monster is human nature itself. Hailing from Peculiar, MO the self-described "funny farm" of entertainers, Joe learned the art of comedy writing by honing his craft at local comedy clubs. But his passion for horror drove him to put his spin on the genre. When he's not writing, you can find Joe King voraciously reading classic horror, watching cheesy B-movies, and sipping coffee at the local comedy club where he occasionally tests out jokes. Like the greatest masters of horror-comedy before him, Joe King understands the thin line between horror and humor, proving that laughs can arrive hand-in-hand with gasps and shrieks!
