Even though the moons were hidden behind the clouds Serenade made his way through the sky seeking a weary host.

Someone who's completely overwhelmed and ready to just throw it all away.

As a crisp gust of wind kissed his dark brown face Serenade looked down his nose at Monotone.

Nothing in the realm of Dahlia and not a weep from Lily.

Had the alignment of Siren and Passion been the reason behind such a quiet night in the universe?

"Everyday, every night

Break of dawn

Air of night

Come to me

I'll make it right

If you let me

It's all in me."

Serenade sang into the empty atmosphere.

Longing for a soul to touch.

In just a blink of an eye a sweet scent filled the air, immediately doing a dance in the nostrils of Serenade's nose.

"Why do you hide your smile? What are you so nervous about?" Serenade cascades down the Virgo Tree, with a hand now on the shoulder of Souberette.

Without a flench she looks over at Serenade who's leering seductively at her.

"I don't trust myself. Oftentimes other celestials misread my face. I can't smile if I'm happy and I get told I have nothing to be upset about when sometimes I do." Souberette concluded standing up now eye level with the upside down Shadow Walker Serenade.

Who was in fact an ancient one.

Souberette however was only 18.

Weeks turned to months as Serenade visited the Virgo Tree in hopes of seeing Souberette again.

It wasn't until the sky above was metallic and frosty.

The winter season, celestials called Mercury had arrived.

"Archers Aim!" Souberette says, a gesture female celestials used to disarm Shadow Walkers.

The only flaw was it had to be spoken from the heart without fear and eye contact.

Nearby lurking, Serenade's watching and wondering.

Wondering and watching.

Serenade's melody is knocked off beat once hit right in the kisser with Archers Aim.

Licking his vermilion border, recalling the similar scent in the atmosphere.

With a sly grin he announces himself.

"Never met anyone sneakier than me!"

"How reassuring!" Souberette says doing a Webster: A front flip performed off of one leg, using the other leg for momentum.

Moving out the way impressed with the layout.

Serenade's eyes focus deep into Souberette who had gone AWOL for a spell.

In his mind he had given up on seeking ever again.

Something in his heart kept him compelled to linger every night near the Virgo Tree.

"I've watched you cross this threshold every night. Who do you seek?" Misery appears behind his brother-in-law Serenade.

"Sire, a rendezvous under Mercury's mist." His answer is vague.

"I see." Misery vanishes, assuming Serenade is lurking for Celestial host who are in defeat and despair.

Nights grew colder and colder and the days were cut short.

Monotone was beginning to sit on thin ice.

Literally, winter passed like a breeze.

"I saw that rose you were with awhile ago. Isn't she a bit ...?" Siren questions his uncle Serenade.

"What? Young? She's an adult and it's platonic. For now at least!" He replied then continuing.

"And how are you and your Shadow Walker?" He scoffs with a grin.

"Don't even act like you care." Siren chuckles aloud.

This was true Serenade was being condescending.

Though he didn't approve of his nephews union under the stars.

He respected their bond.

Siren was just always guarded, ready to react and ready to respond.

Passion was the gateway to his healing as Souberette had become a gateway to Serenade's journey.

Serenade and Souberette maintained their playful tip for tap for many moons.

Later giving birth to a son Nova, who was a perfect blend of both worlds.

For Celestials and Shadow Walkers even though they shared the same planet.

Both lived by different walks of life on Monotone.

The very thing that made it magical.

A balance of both worlds.
