The Eye of the Headquarters. The central building, its exterior crafted entirely of transparent glass, was the hall of deliberation where the leader and her council discussed matters concerning the people. It was the most heavily guarded structure in all the land.

Griff stood at the far end, before the massive left side window, in his classic military stance. His appearance had changed- he’d shaved his once-long hair, leaving only his stark white beard. He claimed that this transformation brought him closer to an idea he sought desperately: renewal. A rebirth that began with altering his outward appearance, a symbol of the inner change he craved.

His calm exterior masked a narcissistic mind, one that now churned with chaotic thoughts after witnessing the scene earlier. He had watched his leader walk away with that…monster. The human monster that posed a grave threat to his kind, to his people! And she kissed him… like a traitor Griff knew she was!

<< Foolish girl! Naïve and spineless! I knew she was unfit! >> he muttered, clenching his jaw, wrestling to contain his anger. His gaze swept over the vast Plersizian settlement as he considered his next move.

<< Bring me the Weapon! >>  he commanded, capturing the attention of all guards and council members.

<< Only Mika has that authority..>> a Plersizian reminded him.

<< Not anymore! >> Griff barked, turning to the others << Leader Mika’s secret is out! Her relationship with that human goes beyond mere acquaintance- she’s protecting him! He was sent here to destroy as ! For all this time, we’ve been sheltering an enemy who has gathered the intelligence he needed and sent it back to the humans! I’ve learned that we’re in grave danger! Therefore, I demand the Weapon be placed in my possession- now! >> he shouted and the guards quickly scattered to obey.

<< I have a solid plan of defense. For now, continue with your duties until my next announcement. I will ensure that no Plersizian comes to harm! >> he shouted and resumed his path back to his original post at the window. Standing tall, dangerously calm, he continued to gaze out over the civilization as if it already belonged to him.
