Epilogue

The three detectives decided to have some lunch at a steak and seafood joint. They all had steak as well as lobster tails, salad, and drinks.

“Man, this stuff is so delicious”, Tannehill said after swallowing his portion and drinking. “But we shouldn't do it too much.”

Stoneward would smile as he said, “Ah, once in a while it's good to eat in a place like this. You know, just to relax.”

Crane was smiling as well. “I haven't had this stuff in a long time.”

After a pause, he asked, “Okay, so are we going to stop by Ms. Fredricks place after this?”

“That's right, Sammy. We got a gift for her from Damon Carducci.”

After the detectives finished their meal and paid the check, they went to 22 North Manchester Lane. Fortunately, Anna was home, wearing a white T-shirt and short denim skirt.

“Yes, Lieutenant----”

Stoneward would give Anna the gift that Carducci meant to give her. “Here, this is the gift that Damon wanted to give you.”

Anna was surprised. It was a golden necklace. “This is so exquisite”, she said, smiling.

Tannehill would say, “Look ; obviously this won't bring Damon back, but at least this is something you can remember him by.”

Anna shock her head affirmatively. “Yes, you're right. Thank you all for this. Somehow I can feel that Damon is smiling from up above.”

“Goodbye, Mrs Fredricks”.

“Goodbye, Lieutenant.”

As they left, Stoneward asked, “Anyone want to see a movie or see the Knicks play the Lakers?”

Tannehill and Crane started laughing, and then Crane asked, “You got tickets for that game?”

Stoneward would show them the tickets. “Front court seats, guys.”

Tannehill finally said, “Let's GO!!”

They were on their way to the Staples Center.
