Skye’s POVI couldn’t speak as I looked at Elena shocked. I couldn’t believe after everything she has done for the magazine they would talk about replacing her.	“Why? Did something happen?” I asked, looking at her concerned that she was in some kind of trouble.	“Nothing happened. I wasn’t even supposed to hear the conversation, but I was on my way back to my office when I heard them talking to Alex about replacing me. I didn’t hear anything after that. I walked back to my office like I didn’t hear anything, booked my flight, put in that I was going on a last minute vacation and here I am” she said, looking at me and I could see the tears in her eyes.	“Oh, Elena” I said, reaching over to hug her when she finally started letting her tears fall. About five minutes later she had gotten it all out. I wanted to jump on a flight to New York to give them a piece of my mind, but I couldn’t especially if I wanted to keep that job.	“What about my job?” I asked, after she pulled away	“I will fight to keep your job. You’re the best photojournalist we have” she said, smiling at me	“Thank you” I said, hugging her again	“Okay, enough with the sad shit. Can we go house shopping for you now?” she asked causing me to laugh	“Sure” I said, grabbing my stuff.	“Also you had to pick one of the most rural places you couldn’t you” she said as I drove us downtown.	“Sorry” was all I said, laughing as I pulled into a parking spot across from the bookstore. I smiled and waved at Claire through the glass.	“This is a cute little town. No wonder you don’t want to leave” Elena said, getting out of the jeep.	“I didn’t say I didn’t want to leave” I said, but one look from Elena told me another story	“Don’t bullshit me, Skye” she said, looping her arm with mine as we walked to the little mom and pop decorating store and let me just tell you that Elena did some damage on her credit card. Then we went to the one photographer store in town so I could develop some pictures to hang up in the frames that Elena just bought me. After putting everything in the jeep I took her to Daybreak Diner for lunch.	“Hey, Skye! Take a seat anywhere” Kayla said, as we walked into the diner.	“Thanks, Kayla” I said, leading Elena to a booth near the back so we could talk.	“You are definitely planting roots here and don’t tell me otherwise” Elena said, sitting down across from me.	“Okay, fair enough” I said, laughing at Kayla bringing me a Dr. Pepper to drink.	“Here you go, Skye and what can I get you to drink?” she asked, looking at Elena.	“I’ll take a sprite. Thank you” Elena said, smiling at her.	“She’s cute,” I said, smiling at the way Elena was looking at Kayla.	“No. I have sworn off relationships and I’m not staying long anyway” she said turning back to her menu when Kayla came back with her drink. We placed our order and went back to talking.	“So, you want to explain to me why you have sworn off relationships?” I asked, looking at Elena	“Whose swearing off relationships?” I nearly jumped when I heard Morgan’s voice. I looked behind Elena and saw him leaning against the booth. My day could not have gotten worse.Morgan’s PovAfter leaving the hospital late last night and almost over sleeping this morning, I was not looking forward to today’s work day. The pile of cases on my desk was finally getting smaller with the exception of one, but I couldn’t do anything about it right now, the trail was cold. So, I just leave it on my desk as a reminder that it is still an open case and one that is important.
