After a year of not working, the excitement of starting anew was overwhelming. Well, to Jackie Miles it was. She had quit her job caring for elderly folks in their homes back in March. Not that she didn't like to work, she loved it, but the hours clashed with her children's schedule, and that couldn't happen. After two months, she found herself packing up her Ford Mustang with pretty much everything they owned, her two girls, and heading to California.

She needed a change of scenery, and her older sister needed help with her 5 kids. Jackie loved her niece and nephews and her sister, so why not? Plus, they'd only be a 10-minute drive from the beach, of course, in Northern California, Eureka, to be exact, isn't as warm and sunny as San Diego, even in May. But she wasn't going to complain; Jackie loved the beach. This will be the second time in her life that she has lived so close to the beach. The first time was when they lived in McKinleyville with her mom's parents when she was a young girl, when everything was easy and not complicated.

Jackie's move didn't last long. She stayed in California helping her sister for only a short six months before her sister decided to walk away from her management position at a well-known box store and moved back to Arizona with her kids. She wasn't ready to leave the chilly and breezy landscape of Eureka, but she couldn't afford the simple 3-bedroom apartment in California, not by herself. So, yet again, Jackie packs up her Mustang and her kids to head back to good old boring Kansas, far away from the beaches she loved.

She didn't want to because she had to move back in with her parents yet again. Being a single mother was the last thing she truly expected. Of course, it had been six years since she and her kids' dad separated, but they were still legally married. Well, at least by that annoying piece of paper they were, but Jackie was still a single mom. Jack was never around long enough to make a difference, and when he was, Jackie wanted to strangle him. It was constant arguing and verbal abuse from him.

Jack, her baby daddy, if you will, because he was not a husband and he sure wasn't a father, would NOT pay for the divorce. His logic was completely insane, as well. He thought he would have to remarry somebody if they were to get divorced. Jack obviously couldn't be alone; he didn't want to have to take care of himself. He needed someone to do it for him. That person was not Jackie, not anymore.

And then there was the other woman that Jack was with, Jackie didn't care at all. She had her share of relationships after she and Jack had separated, but his logic and reasons for not wanting a divorce were laughable. Jack figured if he was with another woman but stayed married to Jackie, he would not be considered an adulterer. Only after the divorce would he be damned. Jackie wasn't sure where his logic came from, but she always laughed at it.

"Jack, I don't care about your soul. You became an adulterer as soon as you decided to be with another woman, other than me. No matter what you do, divorce me or not, you ARE an adulterer, married or divorced. And I do not want to be married to you anymore. I'm done." Jackie had told Jack during one of their arguments they had had, but it obviously never fazed him; he was still dead set against the divorce.

Jack and Jackie had met eight years earlier at work. He wasn't bad looking, but he had a bad boy look to him that she thought she was attracted to. Jack was the supervisor of the fiberglass company in her hometown. Well, it had been her hometown since she was 14, since her father retired from the army after twenty years. Jack's father is the one who introduced them. We got along for a while, but Jackie knew it was seriously too soon. But with her imminent first divorce at age 22, she was down, lonely, and looking for someone to repair the damage.

Jack's somewhat fit physique had heightened her interest. His arms were massive, but the muscles pressing against his shirt were proof enough that Jack could hold his own and move her how he saw fit. Jack's eyes were dark brown and deep; he could look at her and through her at the same time. At times, it was unnerving. But Jackie found herself lost. She needed to be protected from her past, and for some reason, she thought that protector was Jack.

Jackie's first husband, Blake, had wed her just six months after her 16th birthday with her mom's help, of course. Her daddy wasn't about to let his baby girl get married at that age. Of course, Jackie was the middle child and even had a baby sister. But Jackie was Daddy's baby girl, no matter how old she got. Jackie figured her mom had withheld sex from her dad until he agreed and signed the emancipation papers so Jackie could legally be married. Jackie thought things were perfect, but she was wrong.... so wrong.

After moving back from California to Kansas, back into her parents' home with her two beautiful girls. Jackie started looking for a job; of course, her hometown had plenty of places to work, but Jackie wanted something that could keep her busy, not stuck behind a counter taking orders. After only a few short days, Jackie landed an interview with a well-known company dealing with plumbing parts, Sparks Manufacturing Inc. She'd have to drive the 20 miles every night, but hey, it paid well and that's all that mattered.

A few weeks on the job, and Jackie was at home next to the conveyor belt that brought parts to her and her coworkers. Jackie and the other women got along, but Jackie wasn't interested in 'friends'; she was here to work and that was it. But she did associate. She wasn't a bitch like Amber Moore. Amber Moore was a 5'3" stocky mom of two boys. Who assumed she was God's gift to men. She flaunted and flirted.

Yes, it caught everyone's attention who had a cock between their legs. The other ladies just rolled their eyes and kept working. Not to mention, she had family at the company in high places, so the rules never applied to her.

"Who the hell does she think she is? She's about to piss me the fuck off, if she doesn't quit flirting and I have to keep catching her parts." Launa Milligan, our newest lady, didn't hold her tongue like the rest of us. Of course, she didn't say it loud enough for Amber to hear either. At least not yet. Launa was a 40-year-old, 5'2", voluptuously curved woman with shoulder-length brown hair. Jackie had to admit she wasn't a model, but Launa was beautiful.

Jackie wasn't bad herself, or so she thought. At 5'6", she wasn't voluptuous like Lana, but she had curves in the right places. Her natural beauty was real, not painted on with a box of crayons. Jackie had shoulder-length dark brownish-red wavy hair. Of course, in the sun, Jackie's hair was red. Her green eyes were emeralds on her plain face. Jackie thought her eyes were her best feature by far. Her breasts were 36-C, but after having three kids, they were no longer perky but still looked good. Her waist was nowhere near a size 0, but her hips made up for the not-so-skinny waist. Jackie had a curvy hourglass figure; she was happy with it, but knew it could be tighter and firmer.

Jackie couldn't help but lay her head back and laugh out loud. Maybe a little too loud, Amber turned with a glare, back at Jackie and Launa, pulling her attention from the 6'2" tall, dark, and handsome Mike. Lana smiled while tossing several of Amber's parts back up to her. "You might actually get your job done if you were paying attention to the belt, and not the cock drive-thru between your legs." Launa's tone was flat and annoyed, but Jackie saw the small smirk on her face when Amber responded.

"FUCK YOU, LAUNA. Who the fuck do you think you are? Telling me what I can and can't be doing, you're not my Mama, and you sure the fuck are not my boss! So if catching my parts is too much for your fat ass, let them pass you by." Amber was red in the face by the time she was done, and Mike was long gone by the time she turned back to her station.

"Oh... my... Lanta..." Jackie tried hard not to laugh.

Launa giggled, "Tell me how you really feel, Hun." softly so Amber did not hear her.

"You know she's just mad because someone finally called her out on her actions."

"Yeah, I know it still hurts to hear the word fat. I know I'm not a runway model, but I have my reasons to be bigger than ideal."

"Oh, Launa. Don't listen to her, please. Plus, she has no room to talk. She's not a runway model either."

"Coming from you. Who could very well be one, undercover!" Launa giggled and sent a smirk directly towards Jackie.

"Oh, please." Jackie giggled. "I am far from the bean pole that men and women alike like to see walk down those things. Plus, why would a runway model be undercover, at a place like this?" Jackie turned quickly in a circle with her hands in the air.

"OK, OK, you made your point, but still her words do hurt a little." Launa frowned.

"You're beautiful, yeah, you're a little overweight."

"A LITTLE' Launa retorted.

"Yes, a little. But you are beautiful, you have a beautiful heart and a beautiful soul." Jackie said, "In my book, that makes you 100 percent better than Amber and her black heart."
