Violet Willows sat in a dark back corner of the VIP lounge, watching as her patrons flooded the outside world. It was 5 am, and the sky was becoming a blaze. As the last few patrons left, a stranger suddenly sat directly across from her. Violet's eyes gleamed as his voice ran down her spine. "I do not mean to be so blunt, but I am your soulmate, and I knew it the day I saw you in the mountains of Nepal." 'Nepal!?!?' Violet looked into the stranger's eyes and could tell he wasn't lying, but she also knew he WAS human, and he did not know what he was getting himself to. Violet smiled and said, "And you, sir, are who?" "Oh where are my manners, my name is Marcus. Marcus Mullin."&nbsp; He stood before giving a small bow and sitting back down again. Violet was intrigued. There was a noise behind them; as Marcus turned, there stood Vlad, Violet's head Guard. Vlad was seven foot two and three hundred pounds of solid muscle.&nbsp; He looked more like a werewolf than a vampire, but Vlad wouldn't be beaten as a Royal Guard. Violet smiled at Vlad with a wicked grin, "Vlad, this is Marcus Mullin, and he is my soulmate." Vlad's eyes shifted to Marcus, looking him up and down. "Queen Violet, is he sure?" returning the wicked grin. Marcus chuckled a little, standing he offered his hand. "Vlad, Sir. It is nice to meet you. I hope I am not interrupting your closing." The handshake was strong, and Marcus wouldn't admit that Vlad was definitely not someone he wanted to go against. "No, you are not if Queen Violet says you are not." Vlad spoke in a mild tone. Marcus quickly spun back to Violet, "Wait... you are a Queen?" he questioned. Violet smiled, and her eyes gleamed purple. "Yes, Marcus, I am. Does that change your theory about you being my soulmate?" Violet asked as she rose from her chair, offering Marcus her hand. Marcus took Violets' offered hand and smiled. "Nope, just makes me believe it all the more." and kissed Violet's hand before offering her his arm. "Where to My Queen?" Marcus smiled. As they walked through the bar, Vlad told the others to finish closing up and ensure everything was cleaned before leaving. As they walked, they spoke of Nepal and the mountains where he had seen her.&nbsp; That had been almost 20 years ago, but the more Violet thought about it, the more she remembered seeing a man, a boy. At the time, Violet was hiding in the small mountain village when the military showed up in search of someone. Her. But no one knew who she was there or who they were looking for either. Violet smiled at the thought of the young man's eyes when they connected with hers. She had felt something, but in the same moment, she had to flee as Vlad whispered that people who knew who she was were closing in, and she had to disappear again. As Marcus, Violet, and Vlad got the car. There was something about Marcus that Violet just could not shake. She remembers feeling something back then, and she feels it now too. 'Could this man be my forever mate? After 130 years, could it be true?' Violet thought.Marcus opened her door and again kissed her hand. "When can I see you again?" Marcus asked with a stunning smile. Violet couldn't help but smile back. "Do you need a ride anywhere, Marcus?" Violet asked. "No, my bike is parked out front, but thank you." Marcus says with a little bow. Violet smiles again. "Well, then, why don't you follow us. We can talk more about you being my soulmate over breakfast." Marcus smiled, "Yes, Ma'am," bowed, spun, and ran down the alley. A moment later, Violet heard his bike roar to life. As Vlad pulled the car away, and Marcus followed, he finally asked, "So are you going to tell him first, or let him find out?" Violet looked from the window to Vlad and smiled. "We will discuss it. If he really is my soulmate, then knowing what I am and what he will become will only make him want to be one more. If not, then he will run, well, at least try." They both laughed. It wasn't with malicious intent, but with who was laughing, you'd think so. The drive was not long, and the sun was beginning to peek over the mountains. A large rock wall appeared as they turned the final corner; as Marcus followed, his eyes landed on the house, more mansion with the eeriness of an old abandoned castle. "Whoa," Marcus said to himself. "I either hit the jackpot with this one, or I'm gonna be buried in the backyard." He chuckled as he slowed; the large double gates were opening wide. Vlad only stopped for a second at the window and kept driving. John, the man Vlad spoke to, waved Marcus through. John is the youngest of the coven, at 35 years old, but 2 years as a member of the coven. He smiled as Marcus rode by. Marcus waved and quickly took a double take. 'Were those fucking fangs!' He shook his head as he sped up to catch back up with Vlad and Violet. As he reached the front grand entrance, he saw two other women standing with Violet. One was holding a black umbrella over Violet as the sun had finally made it over the mountain. Seeing this, for some reason, he hurried faster to get there and get off. Marcus got off his bike and removed his helmet. Another man was offering to take his bike to the garage. Marcus handed his keys and presented his arm again to Violet. Again, kissing her hand when she took his arm. Violet smiled. As they approached the door, Violet introduced everyone. The young woman holding the umbrella was Rosie; she was Violet's chambermaid. The other in tow was Jasmine; she wasn't a maid but helped around the mansion and was company for Violet when no one was around. And the man who took his bike was Jordan. As they reached the doors. The massive 12-foot solid doors groaned open. "And this man here," Violet pointed to the man opening the doors, "is Robert. He is another member of my guard; he is Vlads' right-hand man." Marcus shook Robert's hand and, again, another man he knew he would not want to go up against. As they walked through the doors, Marcus couldn't help it. "Oh wow... " he stated as he started roaming, looking around the main hall and grand entrance. This made Violet smile, and if she had a beating heart, it may have even skipped. "Marcus Darling," Violet called, holding out her hand. "Come this way, Mary has breakfast ready." Marcus smiled, walking back to Violet and kissing her hand again before being taken by the arm. You may wonder why a Vampire Queen would have a cook. Violet was raised drinking animal blood, so food was always available. She was very picky about new members of her Coven. And no one was allowed to turn anyone without her permission. On the other hand, her bar was where, if the coven needed to, they could feed. You see, Violets' bar was a feeder bar. Those who knew what it was and wanted to be fed on could come and allow it. Most human feeders wanted to be vampires, but with Violet's rule, none could. They were all compensated nicely, of course, after any session they did. Violet was not after power to rule the world or to create an Army. She simply wanted to live her life in peace and have some fun while she was at it. This was one reason she had fled from Nepal; someone had discovered what she was when a feeder spoke to the wrong person, and the military was sent to destroy her. She had run to the small mountain town, hoping they wouldn't follow; she only needed to rest and feed, to keep moving. The day she saw young Marcus, in his uniform, she felt a pull. When their eyes met, she could feel a wetness between her lips that outside the bedroom had never experienced. Once sat at the table, and in the light, Marcus could see just how beautiful Violet was. She was flawless and didn't look a day over 18, just like she had 20 years ago when he first saw her. Marcus was staring. Violet smiled. "Darling, Marcus. Do I need to get you a napkin?" she laughed. and Marcus let out a moan that instantly made Violet wet. Her eyes shined with hunger. Marcus laughed "Oh my, that was, I apologize for my ummm..." Marcus trailed off; he couldn't even think of what that was. Violet smiled and clicked her tongue, which made Marcus look at her. "Your pleasure? Marcus," she said as she ran her finger across her lips. Marcus could feel his pants becoming very strained. He HAD to think of something else... "Yes, my pleasure," he said, looking away from Violet; he was fighting against himself; he wanted to jump across the grand table, put her on it, and eat her for breakfast. Violet was getting wetter by the minute. You see, nobody's thoughts were safe from Violet. She could hear your thoughts if she could touch, taste, or smell you. And listening to Marcus argue with himself, she actually liked his idea for breakfast. But that would have to wait. Marcus was saved by the arrival of breakfast.
