In shadows deep, where silence weeps,

I stood beside her, my promise to keep.

Through laughter and tears, I held her near,

But in a moment, I faltered, I fear.

A whisper of doubt, a crack in the light,

I broke her trust, turned day into night.

Her heart, once whole, now shattered and torn,

Innocence lost, a spirit worn.

He touched that child, a crime so vile,

A darkness that lingers, a haunting trial.

They should lock him up, throw away the key,

For the pain he inflicted, for the soul that can't be free.

I wish I could turn back the hands of time,

To shield her from hurt, to make her heart climb.

But the weight of my choices, heavy and stark,

Leaves scars on her soul, a deep, aching mark.

So here I stand, in the wreckage of trust,

A heart full of sorrow, a heart full of rust.

I was there for her once, but now I must face,

The truth of my actions, the depth of disgrace.

In the echoes of silence, I hear her soft plea,

For healing, for hope, for a chance to be free.

Though I broke her heart, I’ll carry the weight,

And strive for redemption, before it’s too late
