“What is that, Nyi Ratu?”
Nyi Roro Kidul explained.
“My South Sea Gemstone has been stolen by a figure named Nyi Centil and Joyo Kandis, until now the palace soldiers that I have deployed to investigate where the two people are have not found them. Including myself, who has circled all corners of the island of Java.”
Dewa Pandang, who suddenly pressed his old staff to his chest, then stretched one of his palms over both of his eyes.
“I see, give me a moment to see it.”
After a few minutes of silence Dewa Pandang spoke again.
“That gemstone is very dangerous, the holder’s body will be immune to weapons and magical arts. The two people live in a building underground in the valley of Mount Semeru, currently they are causing trouble everywhere.”
The Queen of the South Coast was surprised to hear that.
“A building underground in the valley of Mount Semeru?”
Dewa Pandang nodded.
“Yes, that’s right Nyi Ratu. The building was like a Kingdom with many soldiers guarding it, the figure of Joyo Kandis was also dangerous because he was in league with the Jinns and Ghosts. Nyi Ratu and her followers would have difficulty entering there, because the building was located underground. Even if they could enter, they would not be able to survive for long. Sorry if I was rude, Nyi Ratu and her followers could only be at the bottom of the ocean and on open land.”
The Queen of the South Coast nodded her head then muttered to herself.
“It’s amazing that Grandpa Dewa Pandis knows everything, including the fact that I can’t go underground for a long time.”
The Queen of the South Coast spoke again, while Dewa Pandis seemed to do the same thing as he did earlier, which was to hug his old stick to his chest.
“It will be difficult for my people to face them, let alone catch them, because they live in the basement. Hopefully I can meet my friend Nyi Intan Kasturi’s student, and hopefully after I tell her all this, she will be able to overcome Nyi Centil and Joyo Kandis and reclaim the Mustika Laut Selatan. What else does Grandpa Dewa Pandang know?”
Dewa Pandang, who had been squinting his eyes while bringing his old stick to his chest, now opened his eyes with a smile.
“Hmm, it turns out that Intan Kasturi’s disciple is the Blue Scarf Fairy. I’m sure they will be able to overcome and reclaim the South Sea Gemstone, Nyi Ratu.”
The Queen of the South Coast was a little surprised and curious to hear what Dewa Pandang said.
“Them? Isn’t Nyi Intan’s disciple only one person, Grandpa?”
Dewa Pandang smiled again.
“Yes, Intan Kasturi’s disciple is indeed only the Blue Scarf Fairy. However, she is not alone right now, there is a young man accompanying her and he is a powerful warrior. I’m sure that young man will be able to match them, Nyi Ratu.”
Actually, the Queen of the South Coast was still curious about the figure of the young man mentioned by Dewa Pandang, but she felt embarrassed to ask again because she had troubled the old man in front of her with the series of questions she had asked. Not to mention, he had to look for the whereabouts of Intan Kasturi's student, named Bidadari Selendang Biru, to convey everything he knew from Dewa Pandang at that time.
"Is there anything the Queen still needs to ask?"
The Queen of the South Coast smiled then shook her head.
“That’s enough Grandpa, thank you for all the information that Grandpa Dewa Pandang gave.”
Dewa Pandang nodded.
“Okay then I’ll take my leave first.”
The Queen of the South Coast nodded and smiled.
“Yes Grandpa.”
Dewa Pandang then sped away from the rocks on the edge of the South Sea Beach, the Queen of the South Coast who was still standing on the rocks cast her gaze around.
The Queen of the South Coast then muttered to herself, after pondering for a moment she jumped onto her horse-drawn carriage which was on the edge of the beach.
“Where should I look for Nyi Intan Kasturi’s disciple? Or should I go back to the Kingdom first to convey all the information from Grandpa Dewa Pandang to Kumala? So that she and the soldiers can help me find the Blue Scarf Fairy.”
The horse-drawn carriage belonging to the Queen of the South Coast was seen heading towards the middle of the ocean, soon the horse-drawn carriage was no longer visible because it went into the seabed. It turned out that the Queen of the South Coast decided to return to her Kingdom, namely to the South Sea Palace.
*******
The day began to gradually darken, the two figures who had been running fast suddenly stopped running. They headed towards the largest tree located on the edge of the forest, soon there was light coming from the bonfire in front of the big tree.
"Let's just rest here, Kintani."
The Blue Scarf Fairy aka Kintani nodded her head.
"Yes Arya, it's getting dark, there's no way we can continue our journey to the South Sea Beach."
The flames of the bonfire grew bigger until the area around the tree looked bright, smoke and sparks from the burning branches floated into the air after cleaning the bottom of the tree, the two figures who had stopped running sat down while leaning against the tree trunk.
"In your opinion, is Grandpa Dewa Pandang still around the South Sea Beach, Arya?" asked the Blue Scarf Fairy changing the subject.
"Regarding that, I don't know for sure either, Kintani. Hopefully he'll still be there until tomorrow afternoon if we arrive at the South Sea Beach we can find him, is it that hard to find him?" said and asked Arya.
The Blue Scarf Fairy nodded her head.
"Yes, Grandpa Dewa Pandang is a powerful and strange figure. She suddenly appeared and then left and it was not easy to find her again. She is the only one we can ask for help to find out where Nyi Centil and Joyo Kandis are.”
Arya returned to his habit of scratching his head.
“You are right Kintani, if we try to search without knowing the direction and destination I think we will have difficulty and if we do meet it will definitely be for a very long time...”
