May was determined she didn't belong in this school. She wasn't in addict in her mind the only substances she partakes in was alcohol and marijuana. Things every adult uses to cope from time to time. Right? So she started plotting how she would escape this strange school her family had abandoned her at. For if they didn't want her she would prove she didn't need them. She realized her new room now looked out onto the roof.
She played a long through her first day of classes barley paying any attention. When classes were over they were excused back to their rooms. Lizzy quickly tried to start up a conversation trying to figure out May. She brushed her off trying to not let herself get attached to anyone their. She simply said " I'm tired" and crawled into the bed covering herself from head to toe. She silently lay still listening as Lizzy got ready for bed. Waiting till the room fell completely silent other then the slight snore coming from Lizzy's bed.
She quickly climbed from her bed and made her way to the window. To her surprise their was no lock. She threw open the window and climbed out onto the roof. For a few moments she was distracted by the moon and stars above her head. For moment it felt like something magical might just be possible. Then her gazed shift from the sky to the ground, the magic disappeared quickly when she realized she was to high off the ground to jump. She realized this way of escape would probably land her in the hospital.
She climbed back in the window and snuck from her room. Down the stairs to the main floor she found her way to the lunch room. She found a bag of chips and decided a snack might help her think. She sat down and started to eat when she heard the door swing open. A man entered that she has yet to meet. His blue eyes pierced her line of sight and somehow knew exactly what was on her mind. He started the conversation simply with "your new here right?"
