The girl in the photo on her wall blinked. She was a rather nice looking girl, really. Her hair was long and silver, glowing in a light that shone from far outside of the picture frame. She had the most beautiful deep green eyes, and freckles scattered her nose. She had a sweet smile.
“It’s too bad,” thought the woman outside of the photo, staring at it from only a few paces away. “It really is too bad that such beauty has gone to waste.”

The image looked the same: rusted gold trim, a colourful yet faded garden, a swing dangling from nowhere. When Susan sees the girl in the photo on her wall blink, she blames exhaustion. But the shadowy figure that follows, and the escalating episodes of terror that ensue, are harder to dismiss. The police find no evidence of an intruder, and with each frantic call, their skepticism grows. Friends and family grow concerned, but no one sees what Susan sees. As her mental state deteriorates and the line between reality and delusion blurs, Susan loses all credibility, until the night she's found bloodied and broken in her flat.
