It was just a dream, but it was a dream she had almost every night. There she was standing on that stage accepting the award. Maya woke up with a mixed feeling. She knows she is meant for more, but for now she is just a dreamer. Maya is a hard worker, not only in school but everywhere else. When she did something, she did it with her whole heart. Most people envy her, she is good at everything. But there is more to that. Growing up Maya’s parents taught her that with practice you can do anything and be anyone. So that is what she did, she practiced every waking hour of the day. Whether it was music, writing, singing, sports, cooking or baking, she would spent hours working just so she could be a little bit better every time. With that she would learned that in order to be good at something you not only have to practice but you would also have to fail. And when she would fail, she would spent five minutes crying or whatever felt right at that time. Then she would get up and get to work. On the outside it looked like Maya had it all together. She work hard and was always learning. She would never complain and always be nice to everyone. But nobody knew that she felt something missing, a void in her heart, she desperately tried to fill, a longing for more. She thought that by time that would fade, but it did not… Now she is here crying, not her usual five minute cry. It was night time and everyone was already asleep. Usually it was her favourite time to do schoolwork or practice one of her many hobbies but tonight was different. As the time passes Maya tried to sleep but she could not, she could not stop thinking. She thought about her live, was this really what she wanted? What do I really want? Eventually she fell asleep, dreaming the same dream she dreamt every night. But this night it felt different.As time passes Maya (finally) graduated collage, as she walked on the stage accepting her diploma, she felt it, just like her dream started… Now that she is done with school, she had work to do. But first she wanted to travel, preferably the whole world but her budget would not allow that. So she started small, she would go far away… well as far as her budget would allow her. So she went to Thailand, just because she was curious about the culture, the country, everything. She got on a plane and flew for the very first time all by herself. That was something she was proud of, she would imagine she would be scared to fly, but when she got on that plane, she did not felt any fear. Going to Thailand felt different, everything felt different. It is something you can only understand if you have really been there. She had visited the most beautiful places and saw the beauty of Thailand and she fell in love… Those memories will last forever and she knew. She was living in the moment, the life of the party. She was the main character, not only in her story, but in mine. She was beautiful, not only to look at but inside she was even prettier. Her heart was overflowing with love. When I first met her, I did not know her name, but I knew her name would be just like a dream. Then she looked at me like she already met me. Like gravity I was moving towards her and there I was standing in front of her, like she was there my whole life, just standing there. I looked like a total idiot looking at her like that, but instead she smiled and said hii. Her voice sounded like music. I knew then and there I had to make her the love of my life and this was my chance. I greeted her and told her she look beautiful. I could not be more happier when I saw her smile like that, so shy, so cute. I am falling. The whole night we talked, it felt like we have known each other forever. I wanted to be just a painting, a beautiful mess on the canvas but a story that was captured and a moment that was frozen. As time passed we would spend more time together, the more I got to know her, the more I fell in love. I could not help it. She was just like a dream, and she was just a dream. Maya woke up, confused. This dream was different. She saw herself from a distant every night. And every night she would love her just a little more. She knew that she would be the Maya in her dreams, the Maya of her dreams.&nbsp;That was her love story. She did fell in love in Thailand, with herself. She found who she wanted to be, who she already was. That is how she was changed for the better.. But she made a promise, to love for better or for worst, to be a best friend to the love of her life. But it wasn’t just a dream…. It was mine. I dreamt of being like Maya, being her. But in reality I am daydreaming about her, though I know her struggles, I am not her. I try every day to be like Maya, to be like her. Today I started writing, but like her it takes practice. It is not perfect, but it is a little better, tomorrow will be a little better. First you have to fail, so here I am accepting the failing and see where this would end. I think everyone wants to be like Maya, to be something, to fill the void. Everyone has their own Thailand, the place where you got to go. The place where you got to know youself. The place where your love story starts. We can be her, it does not have to be JUST a dream. We can BE like her, because this dream is MINE. JUST BE MINE… forever
