She kissed him goodbye, knowing he wouldn't remember her tomorrow. Her heart sank as she reached her car and unlocked the door. "Good for a one night date only" she thought to herself. Tired of wondering why, she put him out of her mind. She knew she would never hear from him again. Sure, he was nice, employed and no children. Also, he was very handsome and well dressed. Drove a corvette...oh well.

However, she could not get him out of her head. She drifted off to sleep, but was awoken with panicked dreams of him. In this drea, he told her vividly, "I 've been looking for you, for a long time."

Panicked, Justine, got u[ and went to the kitchen for a glass of water. She sat for a few minutes and then went back to bed. She did not sleep much. She felt unsettled.

The next day she thought about him less. The whole dating, and the idea of it was just not the same as it once was. What happened over the years to make everyone to timid and unsure? Justine decided it was best to put off dating. By the third day, she barely thought of him at all. That all ended once she got home and there was a huge mixed bouquet of flowers. They were beautiful, exquisitely wrapped with a huge bow and a card! Justine could not believe it. Once inside her house, she didn't even take off her shoes, she wanted to open the card.

She could not believe it, it was from Ron. She thought she would never hear form him again. He simply wrote, "Had a fantastic time the other evening." Justine collapsed on the coach. She sat and smiled for a long time. It was such a nice, warm feeling. She wondered if she should call and say Thank-you for the flowers. They were very beautiful. Carefully she dialed his number and was delighted when he answered.

"Hi Ron, it's Justine."

"Hi, how are you? "

"I am very good. Thank you for these beautiful flowers," Justine said and she wondered if he could feel her smiling through the phone.

"Good, I'm glad. I've had problems with deliveries before," then Ron realized that statement may need more of an explanation. "I've ordered flowers for my mother before."

"Thank you again, Ron they are beautiful" Justine said reassuring him.

"I'd like to take you out to dinner an evening this week, if you are available, of course." Wow, Justine thought. He's quick and without thinking first, she burst out, "I'd love that!" What on earth was she doing? She just said she wasn't going to bother dating anymore.

"How about Thursday, at 6? I don't like eating late"

"Sure, sounds great," so unsure and uncertain why. She almost hoped he would cancel. That night she had another vivid premonition. Set back in the 1800's, farm house setting. Ron was in this dream dressed in overalls just like a farmer. Then Justine saw herself in the dream wearing a really old fashioned dress and carrying a straw basket. Justine woke up in a panic at first, then she realized what was happening.

Ron picked her up at exactly 6pm on Thursday evening. They went to an Italian restaurant. It was a beautiful evening and meal and after, they picked up a coffee and sat in the car for a while. Before Justine could speak, Ron spoke up,

"You know, I feel very comfortable with you. It's like I've known you all my life."

"I do know," answered Justine, "You see we knew each other in a former life. We were married and had a huge farm, house and a wonderful life. However, that was a different life." Ron did not answer. Justine continued,

I am a witch, a witch of the earth. In my world we cannot date someone or marry someone from a former life. I loved you then, you were a wonderful husband and provider. I love you now, but it is over before it begins." Before Ron could say anything, Justine got out of the car and walked home. Happy the evening was over.
