He thought it was their first date; she knew it was their anniversary. Bradley Jones was coming out from the shower, looking into his closet what to wear for his date with Lucy Miller, the woman he met on Tinder. Usually he was not nervous on a first date, but this time he was. Probably because Lucy was the woman he was waiting for all his life: blonde, tall, funny, and shared the same interests in music and shows. It was the first time he clicked like this with a woman, and he was hoping it was just the beginning for them. He decided to wear a formal white short sleeve paired with his best jeans and his brown hush puppies shoes .He put on some cologne, grabbed his jacket and car keys whistling happily, as he knew deep inside everything would turn out well. Just to be prepared, he grabbed a condom and placed it inside his wallet.
Lucy Miller was preparing herself for her date with Bradley Jones, the guy she was hoping long time ago would notice. As she finished the last touches on her make-up, she smiled to herself. Finally she was having Bradley all to herself, on a date and not competing for his attention, as he was quite popular with women. But not anymore. That night he would only have eyes for her. And it would be a very special night for her, because it was their anniversary. He actually didn't remember it, not that it was his fault, it was a long time since they interacted but after tonight he would and would never forget it. She would be sure of that.
Bradley entered Luigi's, the Italian restaurant where he would see Lucy. He saw her wearing a red dress, sexy enough not to show much decolletage, and her blonde long hair in a bun with some straps on the sides. She was glorious. He approached her and shook her hand. She looked even better in person than in photographs, and he knew he won the jackpot.
"Lucy, It's a pleasure to meet you. " he said giving her a kiss as well.
"Same Brad, I'm so excited to see you."
"Let me tell you. Usually, I'm skeptical about Tinder, I have heard dubious stories. But I'm glad it turned out well. "
"I agree with you, Tinder can be a danger sometimes, with so many psychopaths who use it. But it worked well for us."
They both sat down, and chatted about themselves. To his surprise, they both studied in the same college, Brown, as he never saw her on campus. If he did, he would have never forgotten. He would have asked her out with no doubt.
"My major was Economics. What was yours?" he asked as took a bite to his garlic bread.
"English."
"Such a shame we never crossed paths before."
"I was a bookworm back then, never was too much into parties and that stuff."
"But you must have been quite popular back then."
"Not really, guys didn't really asked me out."
"Can't see why, I would have loved to go out with you."
"Doesn't matter now, we are here enjoying ourselves."
Everything was going out well, even perfect. Bradley knew everything would turn out well, she was a dream. And was just hoping it was the beginning for them. And he knew it was phenomenal when she proposed going to her house to continue the evening.
"Do you have something in plan?" he asked crossing fingers she would be thinking the same as him.
"I baked brownies, and I know you'll love them. And anything else we want to do."
She winked her eye, and in that moment he knew she was indeed thinking the same as him. She was going to have sex with him that night, and it would be memorable. He insisted on paying the check, and she thanked him with a kiss on the cheek. He followed her on his car, and parked next to her. Her house was small, but nicely decorated with a feminine touch such as flowers not only on her garden but her porch as as well, where fairy statues were resting. She opened the door and asked him to come inside.
"Take a seat, I'll serve you my brownies. Want some milk?" she asked as she walked to the kitchen.
"Sure, even though I was thinking on some other dessert too." he said as he sat down.
"Patience, Bradley. Good things come to those who wait." she answered as she moved on the kitchen.
Seconds later she would bring a plate with two brownies and a glass of milk placing them in front of him.
"You are not joining me?" he asked asked as he bit one.
"No, I had some before our date and I don't want to gain more weight. But go ahead and enjoy them."
Their conversation continued, as he finished eating, until he started feeling sleepy and everything turned out black. Minutes later he woke up, and saw himself tied to a bed, with scarves around his ankles and wrists. As much as he was hoping to get laid that night, that wasn't what he had in mind. He had never use those methods in bed with any women. Lucy was sitting with her logs crossed with a glass of wine in her hand.
"Lucy, why am I tied?" he asked nervously.
"Why so sad Bradley? You were hoping to be in my bed tonight." Lucy answered with a snort.
"But this too much, you have to free me."
"No."
The sweetness that characterized her all night was gone, and a sudden darkness replaced it. She looked at him as if she was a different person.
"Why are you doing this?"
"You don't really remember me?" she said sitting next to him.
"No, this was our first date after. And before we had video chats, you know it."
"Remember we spoke how we both studied at Brown? Let me tell you were a bad guy back then. really bad"
"Why would you say that? " he started panicking.
She took her phone and showed him a picture of a girl with brunette hair, thick glasses, braces on her teeth, and some pimples on he face. She was wearing baggy clothes and seemed dorky.
"You remember her?" she asked softly.
"No, who is she?" he asked nervously.
"Her name is Sarah Pierce. And you know what you and your stupid friends did to her? She asked you on a date, and you said yes just to humiliate her. During the date you made her say private stuff, your friends barged in and throw condoms and shaving cream at her, while you recorded everything and laughed. The video became viral and she dropped of since everyone made of fun her. You were a real scumbag to her, just because."
Everything was making sense now. Lucy was getting revenge on his actions with Sarah, she was probably her friend and was wanting to get back at him.
"Please Lucy, don't do this. I get it, Sarah was your friend and I was a jerk to her but please let me go.I have changed."
Angrily Lucy threw his wine at his face.
"You still don't get it, do you?" she exclaimed angrily.
" Tell me how I can I fix my mistake. I have grown up since then."
Lucy got on the bed sitting on top of him with each leg to a side of him holding duct tape.
"Sarah was not my friend. Sarah Pierce was my previous name. I had a huge crush on you, and I was on cloud nine when I asked you out and you said yes. You broke me, Bradley. Physically and emotionally. I decided to get revenge on all the ones who destroyed my life for fun. Your friends are all dead, and now you are next."
Before he could scream for help, she placed the duct tape on his mouth wrapping it several times around his head. She was not going to take any risks with him. When she was done Lucy grabbed a syringe and inserted a liquid on it.
"Let me tell you something Bradley. Today is December 12th, five years ago since our first date .A date I never forgot, as much as I tried. This is a date none of us will ever forget. For me, because it was the worst time of my life. In your case, it's the last day you'll live. "
In a swift movement she inserted the syringe in his neck and a small scream came from him, satisfaction was on her eyes, when his slowly closed. Opium did it's work quickly, and she was glad. Her only concern was to get rid of the body, but she would do it on the morning. She took a notepad from her night drawer and with a pencil she scratched the last name on her list: Bradley Jones, the fourth and last one. All the men who had hurt her were all dead, and shared the same death day, December 12th.She mad meticulously planned it that way, to die the same date they picked to mess with her.
She chuckled as she saw Bradley's dead body, thinking of everything turned out. After all, he thought it was their first date, and she knew it was their anniversary.
