She kissed him goodbye, knowing he wouldn’t remember her tomorrow. She looked at his face, memorizing everything, especially his closed eyes, for those eyes were the only ones she ever wanted to remember. She had memorized the feel of his arms around her, the sound of his giggle and deep hearty laugh, but most of all she had memorized how he made her feel. With one final look around, she recanted the words taught to her by the spellcaster, blew the dust over him and walked out the door and his life.
