When the room went dark, she heard her name. "Sarah, Sarah," it said.
She stood frozen, too terrified to turn and look at what could have called to her. Her heart was pounding and she started to sweat. It was eerily quiet. Then she heard her name again! This could not be real! It was almost Hallowe'en and Sarah was sure this had to be her friends pranking her. As they all loved pranks, but usually it was Sarah who had the best prank. As she stood frozen, she thought of a brilliant idea. She would jump around very suddenly and scare "whoever" was behind her, calling her name. She would also yell "Boo!" very loudly, at whoever was behind her. Then Sarah would scare them instead and Hallowe'en prank over! But before Sarah could jump around, a bag went over her head and she was kidnapped!
"Don't say a word!" warned her nappers!
Sarah was too frightened to speak. She judged, by the way they carried her, that there were four nappers! They carried her quite a way, then entered a building, a house was Sarah's guess. Sarah was placed on an old, uncomfortable coach, in a room, and left there in the dark. Something else wasn't right, besides being kidnapped. Sarah could not figure it out.
After a very long while, Sarah heard more people come into the house. She could only hear whispers and could not tell what was being said. Sarah never heard of kidnappers being so quiet. More and more people kept coming to the house. Then, after a very long time, Sarah finally heard noise. Howling wind, howling dogs, shrieks and shrills and boo-ing. It sounded very scary. The noise became louder and Sarah did not hear when the door to her room was opened. She felt a very cold wrinkled hand on her arm pulling her up off the coach. Then, another person guided Sarah as well. They walked down a long hall way. Then Sarah's hand was placed in a bowl with lots and lots of slimy, slimy worms. EEWW! She started to pull her hand out, but the cold, wrinkled hand kept it there. Then her other hand was put in with mushy, gel, icky with small slimy balls. Eyeballs! Then even more suddenly, her hands were pulled out and Sarah was placed in a chair. People started to chant.
" I ee, hee, humm, drum," it didn't even make sense. It was all very strange.
Then she felt herself being covered in something wet, water, but thicker and it smelled really bad. Oh, it was blood. She was sure of it. What sick people would do such a thing? Sarah had enough of this! She stood up, and wanted to scream very loudly. However, when she opened up her mouth all that came out were sobs, sobs and she started to cry. She was so embarrassed and frustrated. Then she remembered what her mother told her, turn your frustration into energy. So, Sarah, stopped crying and started to scream. Then her blindfold was pulled off her head. She stopped screaming and tried to see her surroundings in the dimly lit room. The scary music had stopped as well. So did the chanting that made no sense. Dim lights came on in the room.
"Happy Hallowe'en, " yelled Sarah's friends and more! It was truly the best prank ever.!
