Years later in 1975.
Sarah was 8. Alicia would have been 14.
The older Sarah got the more she looked like her late sister.
Colleen knew they would’ve looked like twins.
“Mum! Look!” said little Sarah pointing to a man standing on the side of the road smoking a cigarette.
Colleen reached into her wallet and pulled out a small photo from when Alicia had the chance to meet them after The Beatles first concert. She looked at Sarah, and asked softly, “Do you want to say hello love?”. Sarah looked excited at the man, then back at her mother.
“Alicia said I should. She said he’s very nice to his fans.”
Colleen teared up hearing it, of course Alicia wouldn’t want Sarah to miss her chance of meeting her favorite ex-Beatle George Harrison.
They chatted for a while, and Colleen showed him the picture of her other daughter years ago. By 1978, little Sarah had the pleasure and honor of meeting all four of the former Beatles just like Alicia did when she was 3.
Colleen could see the resemblance in her girls, she knew that Alicia would always be there, even though Sarah was almost 12 by this point, her and Alicia shared so much experience. Sometimes Colleen could still see Alicia blink or wave in that old picture, sometimes at night, she could hear Alicia talking to Sarah, sometimes, Sarah would speak back.
She knew she needed to see her girl blink in that photo.
