She wakes up, her alarm blaring in her ears, piercing more then usual. She yawns, stand up, getting ready for school.
"I have my study session till 6 pm today, so I'll need to wrap up warm as it will be cold on the way home." She reminds herself, humming as she looks through her wardrobe.
She smiles as she approves of her outfit, brushing it down when she has put it on. She goes downstairs and looks into the fridge for breakfast.
'Sweetie I have my morning shift today, so I can't cook you anything, cereal is out. Just make some toast. Love you. - Mom.'
Maria nods as she reads the note, she opens the cupboards and reaches for the bread, until...
Ring, ring.
Her eyes go to her phone. Herself ringing herself, again?
"Why don't these pranksters give it up?" She groans to herself, picking up the phone.
"Look, I'm done with this crap, okay? Don't call me bac-" She gets interrupted.
"I'm warning you, Maria." Her own voice booms down the phone, then it hangs up.
She feels chills filling her spine , as she leaves the house for school.
7pm.
Maria walks down the dark streets scrolling on her phone. She bumps into someone.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I'm not looking where I'm going." She apologises.
The man had brown hair, his eyes beaming into hers. "Don't worry." He smiles, a bit too...kindly.
Suddenly, he grabs her, and covers her mouth, next thing she knows is seeing black...
