As the year came to an end, she vanished without a trace. LILITH GATES, the captive who had been imprisoned in a dungeon for a full year, had finally broken free from her chains and escaped the castle.
King Gabriel, caught off guard, blinked in surprise. “What? Where did she go?” he asked Knight Thomas, the only one who seemed to know what was going on.
“You should know, Sir!” Knight Thomas replied, his tone conveying a hint of judgement.
“I don’t know where she went!” King Gabriel growled, feeling frustrated at his lack of knowledge.
“She is your wife!” Knight Thomas reminded him. “And you still haven’t turned her into a vampire.”
King Gabriel’s heart rate quickened at the mention of his wife-to-be. He couldn’t believe he had forgotten about her. She was the beautiful woman he had abducted and brought to his castle, yet he had failed to turn her into a vampire as planned.
“You know this, sir!” Knight Thomas continued, noticing the king’s confusion. “What is wrong with you?”
“I…don’t know. I suppose I forgot,” King Gabriel replied quickly, not wanting to reveal that he had forgotten his own fiance.
“What do you want me to do, sir?” Knight Thomas asked, sensing the king’s distress.
“Do? What kind of question is that?” King Gabriel snapped, becoming flustered at how easily he had been found out. He took a deep breath and tried to regain his composure.
“Go look for her,” he instructed Knight Thomas, his tone now tinged with worry. He couldn’t let anyone find out that he had lost his future queen.
Knight Thomas, a brave and loyal knight, left the safety of the castle and ventured into the dark and mysterious forest. His mission was to find the King’s beloved wife, who had gone missing.
Meanwhile, inside the castle, King Gabriel sat on his throne, lost in his thoughts. His usual expression of apathy had been replaced by a look of worry and concern. It was a rare sight to see the King so visibly affected by something.
As Knight Thomas made his way through the dense forest, he could hear the faint sound of a woman’s voice. It was a familiar tune, and it seemed to be getting closer and closer. Curiosity drove him forward and he followed the sound, until he came upon a clearing.
In the clearing stood a beautiful woman with golden hair, humming to herself. Knight Thomas was mesmerized by the soft sound of her voice and stood there, watching her for a few moments before finally speaking up.
“Hey girl, why are you trying to run?” he called out.
The woman, who went by the name Lilith, stopped in her tracks. Her humming ceased, and she slowly turned around to face the knight. Her expression was one of fear and surprise, as she had not expected to encounter anyone in the forest.
Knight Thomas held his ground, trying to calm her down. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “The King needs you. Please come with me back to the castle.”
Lilith’s eyes widened in surprise. She had not expected to hear those words. “The King needs me?” she repeated, her voice filled with uncertainty.
Knight Thomas nodded. “Yes, he does. Please, come with me. It’s not safe for you to be out here alone.”
Lilith hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do. But ultimately, her trust in the knight and her loyalty to the King won out. She followed Knight Thomas back to the castle, wondering what the King could possibly need from her. Little did she know, her presence was crucial in a dangerous plot that threatened the safety of the castle and its inhabitants.
Though her guard was still up, a flicker of intrigue crossed her face as she stepped closer. Knight Thomas, determined yet gentle, managed to get her to follow him, despite the chains that King Gabriel had placed upon her wrists. Each step she took was cautious, her eyes darting around as she scanned their surroundings, ever alert for signs of danger. The chains jingled softly with her movements, a constant reminder of her captivity.
As Knight Thomas gently tugged on the chains, he led her toward the imposing castle that loomed ahead. She looked up, her gaze a mixture of wariness and awe; never had she seen such a grand structure, especially not one she was being escorted to under such circumstances. Although fear filled her eyes, a flicker of curiosity sparked within her—who was the King that ruled over this majestic place?
With hesitant footsteps, she followed Knight Thomas through the castle’s main doors. The atmosphere inside was heavy with history, and she felt the weight of countless stories echoing through the stone walls. As they entered the throne room, her heart raced at the sight of King Gabriel, seated majestically upon his throne. The tales she had heard about him being a monster flooded her mind, causing her to tremble slightly from a mix of fear and the chill that permeated the air.
With her head bowed low, she approached the throne, avoiding eye contact with the King. The tremor in her body betrayed her anxiety, yet there was a strange strength in her demeanor. King Gabriel’s gaze swept over her petite form, his eyes lingering on the chains that bound her wrists. In that dim light, he found himself captivated by her beauty, an unexpected contrast to the fearsome reputation he carried. Though she appeared fragile and vulnerable, there was a resilience in her spirit that intrigued him, leaving him to wonder what lay behind her guarded exterior.
Now that you are back, we can prepare for our wedding!” King Gabriel announced, his voice echoing through the throne room.
Lilith’s head snapped up, surprise widening her eyes at the mention of “our wedding.” “Wedding?” she echoed, her voice quiet and shaky, still trembling in fear. Unfamiliar with the man who had claimed her, she knew only the stories of him as a monster. The thought of marrying him sent a chill down her spine.
“Why do you even think I’d marry you? That’s laughable!” she retorted, her defiance rising to the surface.
Gabriel’s eyes narrowed, irritation flashing across his face. How dare she deny him so stubbornly? Rising from his throne, he descended the steps with a grace that belied his imposing stature. “Laughable, is it? You think you have a choice?” he replied coolly, standing before her, his presence towering and formidable.
“I’m not afraid of you!” she snapped back, though a part of her wished she could take it back. The King was undeniably gorgeous, an undeniable temptation cloaked in darkness.
Gabriel chuckled lowly, amusement dancing in his eyes at her boldness. He stepped closer, their bodies mere centimeters apart, his smirk a mixture of challenge and intrigue. “Is that so, my dear?” he asked softly, his gaze sweeping over her features as if memorizing every detail. She felt a chill radiating from him, but when their eyes locked, a spark ignited between them—a bolt of fire that sent shivers down their spines.
The King’s eyes widened slightly as he gazed into hers. Even bound in chains, she exuded a fierce defiance that captivated him. He felt a strange heat surge through him, a feeling he had not experienced before. Regaining his composure, he spoke with a commanding tone, “You are mine. You will learn to accept it, whether you like it or not, my dear.”
Realizing the gravity of her situation, Lilith accepted her fate with a heavy heart. Gabriel turned to Knight Thomas. “Now, take her to the bridesmaids so they can prepare her!”
As Knight Thomas led her away, Gabriel watched her small form disappear, still processing the intense connection they had shared. He had never felt that way before; despite her defiance, he wanted her. He needed her. A sense of anticipation for the wedding began to blossom within him.
Knight Thomas led Lilith, pulling gently on the chains that bound her. “It’s best not to anger the King,” he advised, glancing back at her.
Lilith followed, her status as a prisoner evident in the chains that clinked with every step. “As if I need reminding,” she muttered, disdain coloring her voice. Thomas shot her a warning look. “You know what he is?” he pressed.
“Of course I know,” she replied curtly, her pride refusing to show weakness.
“Then listen to me, and you could be a Queen!” He offered, his tone shifting slightly.
The thought of being a Queen caught her attention, causing her to pause. “Queen…” she repeated, skepticism laced with intrigue.
Ignoring her hesitation, Thomas led her into a room filled with beautiful dresses and three women waiting eagerly.
“I’ll leave you with them!” he announced before stepping away.
Lilith hesitated, taking in the sights around her. The women approached her with wide smiles, their eyes glimmering with excitement.
“Let’s get her ready,” one of them exclaimed.
“She is so beautiful,” another added.
“Yes, she is the King’s choice for a beautiful Queen!” a third chimed in.
Lilith stood there, feeling like a piece of meat on display. Their eagerness unnerved her, and she bristled, fists clenched. “Cut it out. I’m not some prize to be won!” she snapped, venom in her voice.
Lady One’s expression turned cold. “With that attitude, the King won’t grant you the gift!”
Lilith paused, a flicker of curiosity igniting in her mind. “The gift? What gift?” she asked, her voice calmer yet guarded.
“Eternal life,” Lady Two laughed, her statement hanging in the air.
Lilith’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Are you saying the King has offered me eternal life?” she questioned, her voice trembling with hope and fear.
“As Queen, you become one of us!” Lady Three added, her tone enticing.
Lilith’s mind raced. Becoming one of them, becoming a vampire? Part of her recoiled at the thought, but the allure of power and immortality tugged at her curiosity. “And if I refuse?” she asked, her voice less certain.
Lady One’s response sent chills down her spine. “He will drain you like many before you.”
The threat of being drained filled her with dread. The choice was clear: she could become the King’s bride or face a terrifying fate. “And if I agree?” she whispered, the weight of her decision crashing down upon her.
“You will have a whole kingdom and a very handsome husband!” Lady Two replied, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Lilith felt a hint of begrudging attraction; the King was indeed handsome, even if he was a monster. The thought of being Queen, ruling a kingdom, began to soften her resolve. “Very well. I agree,” she finally said, her voice laced with resignation.
“Good! Let us get you ready!” Lady Three exclaimed.
Lady One walked to the door. “Knight Thomas, come! She is ready.”
Thomas entered the room, his eyes widening at Lilith’s transformed appearance. No longer was she the defiant prisoner; she now stood as a breathtakingly beautiful bride-to-be.
“Are you ready to submit to your King in every way?” he asked, his gaze filled with a mix of admiration and concern.
“Yes!” Lilith replied, her heart racing.
As Knight Thomas escorted her to the chapel, her nerves mingled with excitement and fear. When they entered, her gaze fell upon King Gabriel, even more imposing in a black tuxedo. His eyes locked onto hers, filled with a mix of lust and possessiveness.
The priest stood ready, and Knight Thomas stopped at the door, allowing Lilith to walk down the aisle alone. The train of her dress trailed behind her, glistening under the candlelight as she approached her King.
“Do you take this woman to be your wife?” the priest asked.
Gabriel’s gaze remained fixed on her as he answered, desire evident in his voice. “I do.”
“Does this woman take this man to be her husband?” the priest continued.
Lilith’s heart raced; she felt the weight of the moment. For a heartbeat, she considered fleeing, but the promise of eternal life and power anchored her. “I do,” she finally declared, her voice firm.
Before the priest could finish, Gabriel surged forward, capturing her lips with a fierce kiss. The King had claimed his Queen, and that night, he would turn her.
Gabriel led her to his chambers, kisses slow and deliberate as he undressed her. His hands traced her curves, exploring every inch of her with a possessive hunger. Gently, he bit her neck, then offered his wrist. “Drink,” he commanded.
“Drink?” she echoed, her voice shaky, torn between revulsion and fascination.
“Yes!” he insisted.
With a deep breath, Lilith closed her eyes and drank, the metallic taste flooding her senses. A primal urge awakened within her, igniting something she had never known before.
“Now, my love, you are mine in all ways possible,” Gabriel murmured as the transformation took hold. Her body trembled, power surging through her veins, making her feel stronger, faster… more alive.
When she finally looked up at him, her eyes glowed with newfound power. “Yours,” she whispered seductively.
Gabriel took her into his arms, and they made love, entwined in their passion. For years, they ruled their kingdom together, living as powerful immortals, their love and desire deep and unquenchable. United as the King and Queen of the Vampires, they embraced their destiny, forever bound in power and love.
