Skylab 1 had been designed as a sanctuary, an outpost for scientists and their families—a place to maintain the delicate hope of one day restoring Earth. High above the poisoned atmosphere, those aboard had survived, watching helplessly as the planet they once called home deteriorated further with each passing year. The station had become their refuge, their lifeline. And yet, as the years ticked by, it had also become their prison.

The Habitat program was supposed to be that future. A chance for the next generation to rebuild, to create something new, something better. But even as Jack prepared to leave Skylab 1 and embark on this journey, a growing sense of unease gnawed at him. Whispers of secrets buried deep within the program had reached his ears—secrets that threatened to unravel everything he thought he knew about his life aboard Skylab and the mission his parents had dedicated themselves to

.

For as long as he could remember, Jack had longed for more. More than the sterile corridors of the station. More than the distant, unattainable dream of Earth’s recovery. He craved answers. He craved truth.

But truth, he would soon learn, came at a cost. And as the Habitat program prepared to take him far from the only home he had ever known, Jack would discover that the answers he sought were far darker than he could have imagined.

Earth, it seemed, was not the only thing left broken.
