I know we can see the social media icons on our profiles; I would love to see the buttons on each story header page.

I cannot think of any other way of marketing an individual story.

On marketing in general, I am historically wary of outfits who offer to do marketing, always at a price, but without any performance related targets. By that I mean that you would only pay when a story or picture actually sells. A bit like eBay promotions, where if promoted items never sell, you pay no overhead and the amount of marketing exposure is chosen by yourself by setting a percentage which affects the amount of exposure eBay gives you.

Hey Peter, yes we have Facebook and Twitter and have recently started using it to highlight the story of the week. We will eventually have buttons on the story page to share the story to your own social media accounts.

As regards to marketing efforts by Novelo of individual stories: we are a small team so most of the marketing of individual stories should be done by the author themselves. It’s most definitely the most expensive and time consuming part of any business.

Hi, there is another platform that markets for free to diverse clients of its own (other platforms). I don't know if I'd be able to share its information here. If there's a way to pm me, you'd be welcome to do so.

Thanks Elizabeth, you could always try putting the details here;

and we can see what happens,

There certainly seems to be a “slow-down” recession occurring with too many small outfits failing.

I have to spend too much time examining suspect messages and then needing to delete them.

thanks for responding,

Peter

Hi, sorry, I didn't see this. It's Digital2Digital. It's good. You still need to market as well but they spread your publications around to many clients worldwide.

Sorry Elyse,

I keep calling you Elizabeth;

I think the details are Draft2Digital; seems easy to use, but if you want to include print on demand the minimum page count they accept is 64 pages

thanks for your help,

Peter

Hi, no, it's called Digital2Digital, but Draft2Digital would be one of their products. Digital2Digital publishes short stories, too. I've done so with them.

BTW yes, Elyse is my author's name. I changed my profile name recently to that name. Digital2Digital is a large, strong international platform and not a small outfit. It's large and expanding list of important clients include Scribd, Barnes & Noble, and various library platforms. It allows you to publish quite short stories, but some of its clients may not, but most seem to as well. It's good as far as I can tell. One of my online writer friends knows its CEO personally. Amazon is another of its clients, but I've learnt you can earn more by publishing to Amazon directly.

Oh, I see: you are saying to order a printed book you need a certain page minimum. Well, meanwhile you can publish ebooks with it! I've sold a few that way. When I have time to more thoroughly edit my longer books, I'll get them into print.

I'm interested that D2D also has clients which well-known bookstores use in various countries. I'm in Rome, for instance, and I've recently seen my books for sale on Feltrinelli's website. You can also sell your already published books, etc., directly to bookstores and libraries. Good luck! Let me know how it goes!
