My first thread! I have just left a full-time job as a journalist for a regional newspaper and now with much less writing on my plate in work hours I am keen to pick up creative writing again after a break of a few years. I live in Port Pirie in the mid north of South Australia and have three teenage children and a chihuahua that I adore (I adore the children most of the time and the chihuahua all of the time). She has 'cracked the code' for getting away with everything and still being mum's favourite.
I have two American Shetland ponies and an ex-racing Standardbred pacer, and I love carriage driving for pleasure.
I was inspired to start on the November 2025 Challenge, which will be my first attempt on this platform and I'm hoping to use the prompts to get back in the swing of writing for fun rather than work.
