It was just a dream…
A dream born from a curious mind.
She stood in a dimly lit room. The flickering candlelight cast eerie shadows on the walls. Before her lay an assortment of exotic plants, their vibrant hues and unusual shapes were unlike anything found in a typical garden. Her hands moved with an almost mechanical precision as she ground the leaves and petals into a fine powder. The pestle's rhythmic motion echoed in the silence. She poured the mixture into a small vial, watching as it swirled and settled into a dark, viscous liquid.
Then she stood outside the local town bar. Her smile was malicious. Her eyes were malevolent.
Inside the bar, a man was clutching his chest, his face contorting in pain. "Help!" was the only word he was able to utter weakly. He convulsed violently, knocking his chair over as he fell to the floor. The bar erupted into chaos, patrons shouting and scrambling to help, but it was too late. Within moments, the man lay still, his eyes staring blankly at the ceiling...
