Chapter 1
-Matthew-
We accelerate, we move but we never stop. A train 500 cars long was all that's left of humanity.
I wake up and look out the window to still see the frosty mountains and half-crushed buildings. Why did we have to do this to ourselves? We were desperate sure, but I never thought we would go to extreme measures like this. I get dressed and head out to the first-class dining hall When I hear the announcement.
“Avalanche ahead prepare to brace.”
I rush to the nearest handlebar and then It happens.
“woosh” (probably not the best way of describing it, you need to think of something else.)
I almost fall over. After it’s over I rush to the dining hall and see my parents and my sister, Valencia, waiting for me at the table. When I sit down my dad says
“Well that was a rough one this morning.”
“Yea,” I replied
“Well I'm just happy my children are safe,” my mother says.
