When she woke up there were 17 voicemails from a stranger.She could see they were all from an unknown number so she pressed the phone to listen and put it on the loudspea﻿ker whilst she started to get dressed ready for her day ahead.A man’s voice spoke her name in a warm familiar manner as if he was a long&nbsp;&nbsp;time friend calling to see how she was.After a brief moment of trying to recognise his deep husky tone and the familiarity of how he spoke to her she realised that actually she didn’t know who the man was and she didn’t recognise his voice.Intrigued by how he had her number she continued to let each message play in the hope that he would say who he was and how he knew her and how he had actually got her number when she was always so careful about giving it out to people.The messages began friendly enough and ended with the man saying he was sorry he missed her but he’d call her again.After 3 messages of small talk from the man which at the end of the 3rd&nbsp;one&nbsp;&nbsp;he gave a light chuckle and said” I feel like you might be avoiding me ,I hope not ,I’ll try again later.”The girl continued to get dressed whilst in the background&nbsp;&nbsp;her phone played the messages consecutively&nbsp;&nbsp;on loudspeaker.By the time she had got to the 10th&nbsp;message she noted how the man’s voice had changed.He suddenly seemed to become a little sterner in the manner of the way he spoke to her.He sounded impatient and as if he thought she was avoiding him on purpose by not answering him.She thought to herself he was a bit strange and oddly weird and she was so glad that actually she didn’t know him but felt a slight feeling of pity for the girl who he thought he was speaking to leaving all these voicemails for.She found herself saying out loud “wow,this girl has had a lucky escape from this guy”,.As she went in&nbsp;&nbsp;to her bathroom to get her toothbrush she heard the manner and tone of the&nbsp;&nbsp;man’s voice change&nbsp;&nbsp;yet again and now he was angry and making threats .He said that if she didn’t answer his next call he would be forced to do something that she wouldn’t like and would never forget.She thought to herself that she would report this guy to the police even though she didn’t know who he was maybe they could trace the call somehow as some poor girl who she thought the man was trying to call would be in danger if she hadn’t been warned about this weirdo and the things he’d said he was going to do to her.The final voicemail was the most threatening and frighting to the girl which made her mind up that she was going to the police precinct as soon as she could that morning.She listened as he told her that once he had finished with her her own mother wouldn’t recognise her and she’d feel pain like she never had before.She grabbed her phone and car keys to drive straight to the cops and suddenly she stopped dead in her tracks.He knew her name,he called her by her name she felt frozen to the ground her heart beating so fast in complete fear the terror ran through every inch of her body leaving her shaking and trembling.She needed to get help to get someone who could calm her down and protect her and then&nbsp;&nbsp;find out who this psychopath was and how he knew her and had her number and then make sure he couldn’t threaten her or anyone else for that matter again.Suddenly she was startled by a knock at the front door a slight relief came over her when she remembered her brother was coming around to fix her television for her.She&nbsp;&nbsp;was safe she could tell him and they’d go to the cops together and report this crazy weirdo to them.She opened the door and she didn’t know who this man was that’s stood there but then he said “I thought you were avoiding me , I hope not “, and she realised who he was…..
