“Love?” she laughed, though it came out as a choked sound. “You think this is love? You think you can just waltz back into my life and everything will be fine?” “I know it’s complicated,” he said, his eyes searching hers, pleading for understanding. “But I can’t let you go again. Not without fighting for you.” “Fighting for me?” she repeated, her heart racing. “You want to fight for me while you’re still married to someone else?”
