Beneath the Spell

Then a strange thing happened, my hand went through the photo like it was a veil of fog. The photo was slowly fading right in front of my eyes and in its stead, there was nothing, not even the table it was on top. There was a hole there. Shocked, I put my hand in and I felt cold water kiss my fingertips. I heard panicked voices. I couldn’t hear much except “Close quickly! How did she do that” I pulled my hand fast but the next thing, the hole was gone and the photo was back on top of the table. What just happened?
