77 years old/young? Retired from US Navy as a chief petty officer. Ran a financial services agency for 28 years, retired for second time in 2017. My wife told me to stay out from under her feet and go write a book or something. I knew that as a CPO, I was capable of anything I set my mind too. I published my first book of a series (now 27 books) called "The LaFollette Chronicles" in June, 2018. The genre is, I guess, Family Saga Romance. It is a fictional version of the small east Tennessee coal mining town I grew up in during the 40s, 50s and 60s. I then lived in Southern Italy and Sardinia in the 60s 70s, and 80s, as an Italian prisoner of matrimony. In my hometown, I grew up and went to school with many Italian-American kids who were descendants of Italians who immigrated to the area in the 1890s and early 1900s to work in the deep mines. I was already very familiar with the Italian culture before living there and learned even more there. My stories often, but not always, have Italian and Italian-American characters. My stories utilize this background to move my storyline from smalltown Tennessee to Italy and back as necessary. Most of the books are stand alone, but a lot of the characters reappear in other storylines and sometimes get their own books.
