What are paid stories? Paid stories is Novelo's answer to those who are looking to sell their work or provide support for their favourite authors. Put simply, Paid Stories allows authors to turn those days, weeks, months even years of hard work into physical income to allow them to continue to produce the awesome works we all know and love, as well as provide readers and fans the best way to support their favourite creators, while still receiving something in return. But don’t panic, free stories aren’t going anywhere!
How much can I earn? You decide the price for your Paid Story starting from $0.99. If the story is listed between $0.99 and $1.99, you will earn 35% from each sale. If the story is listed above $1.99, you will earn 80% from each sale.
Why use paid stories? Paid stories is the best method for supporting your favourite writers and creators. Stories take a long time to produce and contrary to what you might think, they’re not always cheap either. Paid stories is simply a way for authors to earn the profit they’ve worked for so they can supply our readers with more awesome content.
How do paid stories work? For writers, once you have set up your payment method, upload your story using the links below and select how many chapters you would like to set as a preview and then set the price tag you desire!

Coupon Codes
Introducing Novelo Coupon Codes. Give back to your readers by giving them a discount on your stories.
How does it work? Once you have created your seller's account you will have access to the coupon codes page where you can create discounts for your readers.
How do I create a coupon code? Go to the coupon codes page and click the Create Coupon button where you will be able to define the coupon code you want to share as well as the discount percentage, the stories for which you want this code to be applied and the expiry date.
Will my coupon code work for another author's stories? No, coupon codes created by you will only be usable on stories you have created.
I received an incorrect amount from a sale after a coupon code was applied. If this happens, please email hello@novelo.com and we will endeavour to resolve this issue within two working days.

Referrals
What are referrals? Referrals are registered members of Novelo whom you have referred to the site.
What are the benefits of referring people to Novelo? In addition to helping the platform grow, and thus increase your likeliness to sell Paid Stories, Novelo will be paying 5% of each Paid Story every time someone you referred purchases a Paid Story (Referral Fee). Your own Paid Story also counts, meaning you will receive 85% (40% if price of story is between $0.99 and $1.99) of the listing price of your Paid Story instead of 80% (35% if price of story is between $0.99 and $1.99) ! Due to issues with Cross Border Payments on our Payment Service Provider, we are only able to pay this Referral Fee to authors in specific countries. For more information about this, please go to the Payment Terms page.
How long do referrals last? You are entitled to receive Referral Fees from your referrals for 90 days from the date of registration on Novelo. After 90 days, you will no longer receive Referral Fees from this referral.
How do I refer someone? The easiest way is to use the Invite Friends feature found on the navigation bar. Simply click on your avatar and then click Invite Friends on the dropdown. Another way you can refer someone is by linking them to https://novelo.com/?ref=YOUR_USERNAME.
When will I receive the Referral Fee? You will receive the Referral Fee 14 calendar days after your referral made the purchase. This is when the refund policy expires and is intended to protect Novelo against refunds made against purchases.
How will I receive the Referral Fee? In order to receive Referral Fees, you will need to sign up for a seller's account. If you do not have a seller's account, your Referral Fees will be held until you create one. After you've created a seller's account, Novelo will check hourly to see if you have any scheduled Referral Fees to be paid and transfer it to you.
How do I monitor the status of Referral Fees? You can monitor past and future Referral Fees on the Referrals page. You will also be able to find out who you have referred on this page.
