In a frost-bitten metropolis where machines outlast their makers, Investigator Esfir Khairova is drawn into a string of gruesome murders known as the Sweet Tooth killings. Each crime feels disturbingly familiar, as if she’s trying to find a part of herself in the killer's mysterious motivations.
