Synopsis
Martha lives in a quiet room, surrounded by fading memories and the muted passage of time. Mirrors have long been removed from her walls—not to conceal her face, but to shield her from the pain of seeing what she no longer recognizes. On the wall hangs a faded photograph of a young girl, smiling in a golden field. When, one evening, the girl blinks and smiles back, Martha is drawn into a journey through the fragile threads of memory.
As past and present blur, Martha revisits the moments she thought were lost—moments marked by longing, doubt, and a quiet struggle to be seen and loved. Through a tender and haunting reflection, she confronts the echoes of a childhood overshadowed by whispers of not being enough. But in the flicker of a smile and the click of a shutter, she discovers a truth that has always waited patiently to be heard: she could never be ugly.
