Synopsis
Every summer, a tight-knit group of Black college friends reunites in Memphis for their “Freedom Weekend,” a tradition honoring Juneteenth with live music, block parties, and soul food. But this year, something is off.
As night falls, bodies start turning up—gruesome, ritualistic, and tied to a decades-old massacre that the city tried to forget. Legend tells of “The Trumpet Man,” a masked killer who once stalked the shadows of Beale, silencing young Black voices during the Civil Rights Movement. The story was thought to be myth. Until now.
