I texted Noah. “The plane has landed, but something is wrong, so I am stuck waiting for at least an hour.”
I exhale an annoyed breath and look past the empty seat next to me and out the window. My heart feels happy, I am home. But it isn’t screaming for joy, knowing I have to face Noah and force him to tell me more about this girl he claims he’s not in love with.
I have an hour. Maybe I should read more.
- “Anders.” Stacey softly says. “I have to go home.”
Anders shakes his head, knowing his beautiful wife is out there allowing this partially open relationship to take over her life. “Don’t leave yet.” He says softly. “Stacey, I love my wife. And I will never leave her. And I understand if you ever need to move on and find your one true love. But I need you right now. This thing between us is spiraling out of control.”
“What thing?” Stacey questions, stepping closer to him. “You said there wasn’t a relationship.”
He nods. “I know. But you and I have something at least. Veronica is forcing something between us.”
“She’s not,” Stacey argues. “She’s forcing you to sleep with other women. If she knew I was the only woman you were sleeping with, she’d force us to stop. She doesn’t want you to continuously sleeping with the same woman over and over, because there is a fear of you falling in love with that woman. And something tells me that’s exactly what’s happening.”
Anders looks away, feeling uncertain. “I could never fathom the thought of Veronica leaving me, so I shouldn’t be thinking at all like I am thinking. But I am.”
“What is it you’re thinking?” Stacey asks, her heart beating faster. “Anders, what is in the back of your mind?”
He smiles. “You.”
She steps away. “Well, you need to remove me from it. Veronica would not be happy. I mean it, Anders. She’s enjoying whatever she created between you two. This weird ‘only partially’ open relationship has her coming home to you and allowing you to give her wild sex. But she’s getting it from other guys too. But! I remember the last time she saw me leaving. Her words were very clear: ‘My husband better be sleeping with more than just one woman’. I will never forget the look on her face.”
“I know.” He says and lowers his head. “And you’re right. Fuck! Stacey. I’m in love with you. And it sucks. I’m man enough to admit I have fallen hard in love with you.”
Stacey slides her hands up to his neck and his cheeks. “Anders. You can’t love me. You love Veronica. You’re in love with her and I’m just a distraction.”
“I mean it.” He says with his head down. “I’m in love with you and I know I am. Veronica opened Pandora's box, and I don’t know how to close it. We’ve been doing this for way too long. And there’s no stopping it.”
“Stop.” She argues softly. “You don’t love me more than her, so you can always turn this around and fix the mistake she made.”
“I do love you more than her.” He says, surprising Stacey and himself. “You are not a mistake, Stacey. You are something I never imagined I’d have in my life. Veronica caused this. And now I don’t know what to do. I…”
“I do,” Stacey says softly and presses her soft lips to his. “I have to leave.”
Anders exhales a shaky breath. “Why do I feel like this is ‘goodbye’?”
She slowly shakes her head, her forehead pressing against his. “If I told you it was goodbye, you wouldn’t let me leave. I’m not saying this is anything. But I do have to leave.”
Anders wraps his hands around her wrists, stopping her from going anywhere. “Damn it. I can’t leave my wife. I love her so fucking much. But I don’t want you to leave. Stacey. Please. Don’t fucking leave yet. Just stay the night, please.”
“I can’t, Anders. I have to leave. Even if I tell you that this thing between us will continue, I can also tell you, I still have to leave right now. I have family visiting.”-
Forty-five minutes
The flight captain calls out, scaring the shit out of me and bringing my attention away from the book. I cannot believe Noah had an entirely different relationship with another girl and Ivy… Veronica…or whoever she was, was blinded and couldn’t see it. Noah was clearly in love with Stacey. And not to mention! They used her real name in the book. What the fuck.
I have to know more. Back to the book!
-Three months have passed since Stacey forced me to love Veronica all over again. It was hard to look Veronica in the eye without picturing Stacey. I fell madly in love with her, and I realized it two weeks after she left. Stacey made it clear that she and I wouldn’t last and that I needed to stay with Veronica. But why? I don’t understand why she didn’t try fighting for me.
“Anders.” Veronica grabs Anders's attention. “We are at the restaurant.”
“Oh.” He says softly. “Why are we here again?”
“Meeting my new boss.” She smiles and extends her arm out for me to grab. “He and his new girlfriend asked us to dinner. Well…he did. He wants to promote me, or so I’m told.”
“That’s great!” Anders says with fake excitement in his tone. “What’s his name?”
“John.” She says as I open the restaurant door for her.
I gesture with my hand for her to walk in and step in after her. “Where is he supposed to be seated?”
She waves at someone. “Right there!” She smiles and waves again. “And…” She pauses. “Isn’t that Stacey? That girl you slept with a time or two?”
Anders’s heart sinks to his stomach. He steps back, wanting to turn around and run. His body is filled with excitement and fear twisting through it. It’s also evident as he looks over at Stacey that she’s just as confused and scared.
“Hi!” Veronica exclaims excitedly. “How are you, John? And what did you say your girlfriend's name is?”
Stacey looks relieved that Veronica isn’t acknowledging that we know her from…well…sex. I want to scream at her, and honestly, I want to tear her clothes off and sink my body into hers. Veronica has no fucking clue how madly in love I was with Stacey…or still am. And I know Stacey has to feel the same. It’s been three months, but love never dies.”
John smiles as he looks up at me. “Hi, Anders. Nice to meet you. I’ve heard so much about you.”
“Thanks,” Anders says, quickly acknowledging him. “Where is the restroom?”
“I can show you.” Stacey is quick to speak and stands up. “I’ve been waiting to go. I can show you the way.”
Anders looks at Veronica for approval. She smiles and nods while trying to play it cool around John. Veronica knows Stacey slept with Anders several times. But Veronica also believes in keeping what they did under lock and key.
A minute later, Anders and Stacey are in a darkened hallway near two public bathrooms and one private bathroom.
Anders exhales while standing in front of the opened private bathroom. “Stacey, I had no idea you were with Veronica's boss.”
Stacey shakes her head. “I didn’t either until you two walked in and he told me that was his employee.”
“What’s he like in bed?” Anders vomits.
She scoffs. “None of your business…No! You know what! I’m going to tell you. I have no idea what he’s like in bed. I haven’t fucked anyone since you and I don’t plan on doing so until I get married. I lost my virginity to you and fell in love with you.”
“You could’ve had me.” He argues. “I told you I wanted to leave Veronica for you.”
“And I didn’t want that.” She argues, her eyes gazing deep into mine and rekindling that feeling I’ve been missing for the past three months. “I didn’t want…”
Anders stops her from talking, quickly bringing his lips to hers and allowing himself to feel her perfect kiss again.
She quickly pushes him back, stopping him and staring at him in anger. Her breaths are rapid, and her heart is racing, but she’s pissed.
She stares at him for what feels like forever and quickly throws herself at him, returning her fiery lips to his. He wraps his arms around her body and kicks the private bathroom door closed.
She peels her lips from his, quickly locking the door while staring at him with strong sexual desire. “We have five minutes, Anders.”
“With your kiss.” He breathes. “I only need three.”
“Good.” She says while quickly unstrapping his belt. “What am I wearing, sir?”
He smiles and looks down at her miniskirt. “Am I eating?”
She chuckles and tugs down on his pants, quickly getting them to his knees and watching as his hardened cock flops out. “No.” She says seductively. “We don’t have time. I’m soaked, baby. And this has to be fast. And the way our bodies connect, it will take me seconds.”
Anders gazes deep into her eyes. “Why’d you leave?”
“Stop!” She argues and quickly slides her panties down. “We are not talking about it. We are doing this and going back out there and acting like nothing ever happened. Then we will continue with our lives. Do you understand?”
He nods, his muscular arms raising her and she wraps her legs around his waist. “I understand.”
“Good.” She says, leaning in to kiss him while his cock penetrates her. She whimpers and presses her lips hard against his.
Anders thrusts deep into her, causing her to moan into his mouth while his tongue intertwines with hers. He can’t hold back and feels a tear stream down his cheek. For the first time in his life, he has tears.
Stacey grinds her body against his. Anders thrusts faster and harder into her, the two of them causing the small sounds of slapping from their bodies.
Anders peels his lips from hers. “I love you, Stacey.”
She looks into his watery eyes and smiles. “I know. And I love you too. But it’s never going to happen.”
She moans, the walls of her pussy squeezing tight against his cock. Anders thrusts again, resting his head on her shoulder while knowing he’s never going to get the chance to make love to her ever again. He knows what the moment is. It’s goodbye. She never fully gave him a goodbye. Now he has one. -
All passengers are free to get off the plane.
Shit! Noah wasn’t just in love with this Stacey girl. If this book is depicting his real life, he’s still in love with her and would take her back without question. Fuck!
