Synopsis
Lizbeth is a sweet 84-year-old woman with frail, white hair who has difficulty walking and relies on a walker for support. She underwent double hip replacement surgery a month ago and is slowly healing. One day, Lizbeth hears her phone ringing and carefully makes her way into the living room to answer it. She notices that the caller ID shows the same home number.
“Hello, hello, who is this?” she asks, but there is no response—only faint sighs and static. Not thinking much of it, Lizbeth hangs up the phone. She lives alone in a condo in Sarasota, Florida, a home that her late husband, Ernest, purchased.

Home caretaker for a parent. I've never written any stories before. I found Novelo and I thought I would give it a try. It turned out to be an enjoyable activity. I also appreciate the variety of stories presented here. I also like to draw. Creativity is a skill. I enjoy the process of creating.
