In the morning light, a new day breaks,
Excitement stirs, my heart awakes.
Backpack packed with dreams and fears,
A world of wonder, a sea of peers.
The bus rolls up, a rumble and roar,
I step aboard, my heart wants to soar.
Faces around me, some smiles, some shy,
We’re all in this together, you and I.
The school bell rings, a chime so clear,
A symphony of laughter, a chorus of cheer.
Hallways bustling, a maze to explore,
Each classroom a treasure, each door a new score.
The teacher greets with a warm, bright smile,
“Welcome, my friends, let’s learn for a while.”
Books and pencils, colors and art,
A canvas of knowledge, a place to start.
New friends are made, with stories to share,
In games and in whispers, we find common air.
Recess brings joy, we run wild and free,
In the playground’s embrace, just you and me.
As the sun dips low, the day starts to fade,
I carry my memories, the laughter we made.
With each step I take, I feel a bit bold,
For today was a chapter, a story retold.
So here’s to the first day, a journey begun,
With hopes for tomorrow, and all that’s to come.
In the heart of a child, where dreams take their flight,
The first day of school, a spark in the light.
