Coal Digger
"Look at the two black candied haws strung by my arms. How tempting and delicious they are. Don't you want to taste it?" Antonio Karenino said this, his face is as calm as ever, the black candied haws on his arms, and the marks that have been eaten. Antonio's mom's face is also calm, which is estimated to be crazy. Her eyes are shining with sleepy tears , just waking up, and a smile is blooming on her face. It seemed that today is unusual.
"Little Antonio, look at your full stomach. Bring it to your old mom." Little Antonio nodded and happily extended the string of black candied haws to her. His old mom stretched her crow-like neck before he could completely reach her mouth, and leaned forward and almost fell off the old black chair.
"Well, it's delicious. This black gourd tastes really soft and smooth. It tastes sour, sweet, spicy , and sometimes mixed. It's really a big meal." Little Antonio is still young. He felt more like the black pulp slipping in his mouth after the black coal is bitten open, and he has an unspeakable satisfaction. Memories of the past, like the morning sunshine, slowly trickled through their hearts. In the process of tasting, they had an indescribable surprise.
"Look at this black and unremarkable clod ..." He and she spoke out in unison.
"There is an indescribable smell ." Time passed faster in their cheerful process, and soon both of them had a full meal. His mother said in an imperative tone, "It's almost noon now, little Antonio. Your father must have an empty stomach. There are two pieces of black coal at the bottom of the closet in my bedroom. "
Little Antonio nodded listlessly. He went to his mom's room. It turned out that there were only two black specimens thinly sandwiched in a book. He weighed them with his hand, which was very light. He took them down and looked for his elderly father .
"Well, my dear mom , I have been looking for him for a long time." Little Antonio looked depressed and embarrassed, but his old mother said to him unhurriedly, "Go to the factory in the north."
Little Antonio felt that the room was so stuffy that he could go out to find his father and have a rest at the same time, so he agreed. He pushed the door, saw the black chimney in the north . On the way, he seemed to see the workers carrying coal mines transporting them to the homes of people whose houses were covered with black-blue tiles and hung with pink lanterns. He was puzzled. Who needs such a large amount of coal? "Hey, guy, tell me who needs to eat so much of this stuff."
The person who moved ignored him, making him look like an idiot. "It is for burning!" " The honest and contemptuous expression on his face answered little Antonio's confusion. Little Antonio couldn't understand the reason at the moment, but it became more and more unnatural. He really wanted to send these two damn pieces of coal to his father's hand as soon as possible and run away. He soon brought this unnatural lame place to the mine. No matter how clear the division of labor was, their faces were covered with black ghee.
"It smells good, doesn't it, my little Antonio?" Little Antonio looked up and found his father staring at him with kind and stern eyes.
"Ah, you are there, father." Little Antonio looked at his face in surprise.
"Hurry up and eat the two black coal mines, I just took from my mother's book. These are the only two left." He felt a little guilty and didn't dare to look his father in the eye.
"No, little Antonio, can't you see? The chimney of the mine is burning. Your father is full of that black smoke on weekdays, and enjoys smoking it every day. " Little Antonio seems to understand the reason for burning coal mines. It turns out that delicious meals can be smoked like cigarettes.
"But these two films seem to contain the taste of memory." His father's "dog nose" seemed to smell something.
"Give it to me, little Antonio. I want to taste." Little Antonio respectfully handed these two black specimens to his father's hand. He saw a little clear tear drop from the corner of his father's eye involuntarily, but it turned black as it dripped from his cheek, and his father's skin became yellowish and not black. Those two small black coals became so heavy in his father's hands. Some of them could not bear the weight of the coals, and then they stumbled forward. Despite this weight, he stuffed it into his hungry and shriveled stomach, and he suddenly fainted. Little Antonio was startled and just wanted to help his father, when his father woke up again. He suddenly stood up crazily and looked straight into the distance.
Little Antonio stood by quietly, only listening to his father's faint gibberish: "By the dark spring water, you and I, my Karenina, and that lovely boy, our Karenino, our happy family …"
His father finally fell to the ground, swollen with one big black sore after another. A few days later, little Antonio knelt beside his father's coffin in pain. He thought that two pieces of ack coal he had given his father had poisoned his father, and his heart was in great pain.
He had been hungry for several days and was preparing to have a hearty meal. He looked at the coal like crisp sugar in front of him, bit it off in the expectation and strange eyes of everyone, and his teeth were dislocated like bones. He raised his head, and his memory was completely awakened in the morning sunshine. In front of him was the coal boss of Stagger Factory, who was looking at him with a grin on his miner.
