Morning came and he awakened to see her busy cooking in the royal kitchen while she conversed with Franky. He wondered if she understood Franky even though he never spoke in human language and from spending a little longer watching them he realised that they did seem to understand each other very well with how she gave instructions to him and how he responded and how it seemed that she was listening to his roars, growls and snarls. She truly seemed to understand him and that made her an even more wonderful asset for his kingdom. He watched for a few minutes entranced by the exchange between the two of completely different species when she finished preparation and turned around to face him.

 

He greeted her, “Hi, did you make the list?”

 

She was startled by his presence but on recovering immediately returned his greeting.

 

She said, “Yes, I did. I’ll show you after breakfast.”

 

He asked, “What is for breakfast?’”

 

She responded, ‘A special dish from my home kingdom. It’s sweet!”

 

After that with assistance from the young king and dragone she brought the meal to the table and it was just as sweet as she had said. 

 

After they were done, he asked her, “Let's look at the list shall we?”

 

She nodded and from her apron removed a folded paper and offered it to him.

 

He accepted and read through it. All it had was stuff about her dragon and he was yet again shocked by the carelessness of this girl. The only request from her side was being allowed to cook sometimes.

 

He sighed, “Well this list isn’t what I expected but it is a good start,I suppose. Lets just draft a proper contract when we get to my kingdom, my sister can help as well and tell you more about everything.”

 

He looked up from the paper to see her eyes sparkling and chuckled. He would teach her things when they got to his kingdom but for now it was wiser to proceed with the marriage. 

 

He asked, “So shall we get going?”

 

She answered, “Yes, we can ride Franky!”

 

It wasn’t the most tactical approach and might scare his people but it was convenient so he decided to go along with her. She however didn’t need his permission at all because by the time he had made his decision, the princess had already clambered onto the back of her scaly friend and was offering him her hand. He chuckled but took it and they took to the skies. Life was going to get very interesting for the trio.
